Simple no frills little restaurant with great food and friendly service. Well prepared, large portions bursting with flavor all a pocket friendly price. No complaints here. Very clean and well organized.
We stopped here after visiting Luray Caverns. It’s a small pizza place that also has Italian dinner entrees. If you’re looking for a nice sit down dinner I’d go elsewhere. We were just looking for a quick bite. Food was good, decent portions, super friendly...staff.More
Stopped here with the family in the way to Luray Caverns. Place is small with simple tables. Our waitress was very kind and accommodating. We ordered garlic bread w cheese and knots. The garlic bread was a little simple, but the knots were very good...soft gooey and loaded with oil and garlic. The veggie calzone was loaded and good. My boys had the Brooklyn pizza and the buffalo pizza. Both were quite good.More
This is Luray, VA we're talking about so if you are a foodies, this place isn't going to do it for you.to do it for you. For where you are, this is probably pretty close to gourmet.
If you order chicken marsala, don't expect "chicken...marsala." like you would get at a real restaurant. Any of the entrees seem to come with a white sauce or a red sauce. The white sauces taste the same and so do the red sauces. Tasty enough though.
Nice people. Good prices. Slow service. Bland but serviceable food. You dont have a lot of choice here. This place is a safe bet.More
My husband and I were in town for a weekend getaway, and we were craving Italian food. How lucky were we to find this gem!?!? I honestly can't say enough, the food was fresh and flavor was even better. We were fortunate enough to meet...the owners, they were so friendly just like their staff. They chatted with us about the Virginia Beach area which is where we are from. If you are ever in the area Il Vesuvio is a must, and the owners Byron and Monica told us the name comes from where they are from in Italy. You will see beautiful pictures in their restaurant and that explained it all. Can't wait to go back 😁 Best Authentic Italian food!! P.S get the home fries as an appetizer, you'll be happy you did.More
