Five of us enjoyed a wonderful lunch Saturday afternoon. We were starving! The food was DELICIOUS! Two got pizza, one got a steak salad, one got Italian cold cut and one got all appetizers. We also ordered a plate of their house made chips! O.......M........G....Get the fresh made potato chips top with queso cheese and something else (maybe scallions). These were the BEST chips ever. Everything was fresh and delicious!More

From the street this might not look like a place you might stop, but you should. Very clean, fast service, excellent pizza, and all in a great location in Luray. Very glad we stopped in for a visit.

We experienced terrible and rude service at this restaurant that bordered on an awful, racist attitude. We are a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children. We were seated at 6:30pm, our table got cleaned and cleared (from the previous clients) at 7:00pm only...after we requested it again and again. We didn’t get water till 7:30pm. Despite taking our order we still had no food at 8:00pm. 4 different families that were seated after us were served their meals and 2 of them were ready to leave by then. When we finally spoke up we were told to pay for 1 glass of wine and walk out. Being the only Indian, non-white family in the restaurant it really makes us believe in a racist, terribly arrogant and awfully serviced restaurant. The worst thing to experience in an American holiday with your children. Stay awayMore

Had a large meat Pizza 4/5 stars. Also had an order of the Garlic knots 4 star, With a bowl of the Wedding soup 5 star. Food delivered fast and hot. The Staff was excellent very friendly and helpful. Only problem was we ordered way...to much for 2 people my fault not the restaurants.More

We stopped in for lunch, not expecting much. The food was delicious! An excellent "loaded" salad, tasty soup and a very good thin crusted pizza. Service was very friendly. Highly recommend.

Our server was very kind and attentive, and the service was quick. However, the quality of the food was not great. The chicken Marsala had a thick, creamy sauce that resembled Alfredo sauce, and the chicken was essentially a chicken patty. We stopped in here while visiting Luray and were pleasantly surprised. Although the restaurant is not big, it is filled with nice people and delicious food. My husband declared their pizza was one of the best he ever had and really liked the chicken wings...too. I had a gluten free pizza with no cheese and it was loaded with toppings that I ordered. Their Italian wedding soup was amazing and they said everything is homemade. So glad the Mimslyn had a waiting list and reservations only that day or we would never have discovered this little gem in Luray.More

One meal came out 15 minutes before the pizza. {not good}. Both used the same tasteless red sauce. I've never used salt on a pizza before.

went here for dinner with my family, we order different plate, shrimp pasta, chicken wings, chicken tenders, garlic rolls yummy. our food was delicious, our server was friendly. we enjoy our meal that we went back the next night to have another family meal it...was no disappointed. highly recommend anyone in the area.More

We ordered a Margherita Pizza and Shrimp Scampi. The pizza was perfect in every way. My hubby loved his Scampi. Authentic Italian food. We got it to go and it was just perfect.

We have a second home nearby (in Stanley) and are in the area a lot. Honestly there are not a lot of "great" food options in the area, and Il Vesuvio has become our favorite and our go-to every time we are in the area....Honestly the only reason we gave it a try the first time was they were open. Most places close pretty early, and they were open late, so we didn't have many options....and they did not disappoint. Now we go back because we enjoy it! It is a small place, and they can get busy, but again, that's often because other places close early. It's not fancy. It's just a small town Italian restaurant with hard-working folks putting out good quality food. I highly recommend the Chicken Marsala. The sauce is creamier than what you would normally expect to see, but it is absolutely delicious. Someone in our family always gets that every visit. I highly recommend! Other dishes are great as well. Had Chicken Parm this weekend and was very good as well. Our son gets the baked ziti every time, he loves it. Grandpa had the pizza, he gave it high marks as well. So come with reasonable expectations....you are in a small town, don't expect big-city Italian....but for good, yummy, basic Italian foods I'd highly recommend it. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. And it looks like they do a ton of take-out. Mostly pizza. So a great option for that as well. And lastly, the servers are always busy....who isn't these days....but they are good folks and will take great care of you.More
