Not the place it used to be. Can't seem to get my steak cooked right anymore. Used to be the best steaks in East USA. Prices going up, quality going down. Last visit my baked potato was burned. I know they could see this when they cut it open in kitchen and when waitress served it, But it didn't stop... More

The food was very good. The steaks are had cut by the staff daily and they are bigger than what the menu states. Some of them have a lot of fat however it was well worth the money I paid. I would return if ever in the area again. The décor is not what I had expected but it didn't... More

This is a local place. No pre-packaged food here. Have the steak you want, any size, cooked to perfection with lots of sides. It is a homey place that looks like 50's throwback wood paneling and heave furniture. This was the best meal we had on a 2 week trip.

Salad was crispy, fries were hot and good, baked potatoes were done well and steaks were very good. The steaks are huge, a seven ounce looks like a pound, the small rib eye is big. Four people, four steaks, a couple of glasses of wine rang up for 120 bucks, less than two pizzas in New York two days before... More

We stopped in for an early dinner. There was only one other table occupied when we arrived, so the restaurant was definitely not busy. My husband ordered the filet with french fries and a salad, and I ordered a "pick two" - I chose coconut shrimp and chicken strips with a baked potato and a salad. I asked for Diet... More

While visiting Luray over the weekend we had dinner at Dan's Steakhouse after hearing several local folks rave about it. They were correct on all levels. My wife had the small Ribeye and I had a T-bone. Both of the steaks were cooked correctly and we're tender and delicious. My wife gave me a piece of her Ribeye to try... More

We saw the other reviews and thought we'd give it a try and are we glad we did. Nothing fancy. The food was excellent and the service WS wonderful. We were the last ones out and there was no rushing us. A better selection of craft beer and more comfortable seating would improve the place . I would definitely recommend... More

This is a country steakhouse, so don't be expecting Ruth's Chris or Flemmings. People seem to go here for the Sirloin-for-2, which is huge and probably should be know as Sirloin-for-2+friends. We had steaks (seemed to be the thing to order at a steak-house) and they were pretty good. Not fancy or Kobi beef, but pretty good. The baked potatoes... More
