I had an opportunity to spend two nights in the lodge and and ate a relaxing salad by as I overlooked the river. I must say it was a wonderful relaxing experience.

Best time to come: between 4-6pm, when nobody's there. Choose outdoor seating depending on weather. Ordered: Black Peppercorn Steak. Yum, it's a big portion, I could've split it to two meal. Very good. Service: Fair. The lady who helped me had to go back and forth getting the hot water for my tea. I can't imagine why can't she brought... More

We had a nice lunch here recently. My husband and I shared the oriental chicken salad wrap and a side salad. The chicken in the wrap was really good. It tasted like it was right off the grill. The only reason I didn't give the review 5 stars is that it's a little pricey. The wrap was $13.95 which worked... More

This is an amazing gem of a restaurant right at the mouth of Sequoia Nat'l Park. I had the ribs (YUM), a Kobe burger (exceptional) and Brunch (WOW). I didn't like the calamari appetizer (chewy) or the fact the server put everything on my baked tater but other than that? FABULOUS.

Three Rivers is a delightful small town en route to Sequoia National Park. Who would expect such a fine restaurant amid this beautiful scenery and wild country? And yes, there are bears! It's just outside town with mountains and the rivers all around.A very warm welcome from Glen, really excellent food and the service of possibly the best waiter in... More

From the moment I arrived I felt welcome, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was great, and the accommodation was perfect for me. Glen and Susan the hosts were so welcoming and treated me like a friend. The sequoia national park entrance is only a couple of hundred metres up the road, and... More

We had dined here a couple times before mostly because of the view from the patio. This time we called ahead for reservations for 6 people and requested to be seated outside on the patio. When we got to the restaurant, my husband and I walked past the employee at the bar and walked up to the sign that said... More

I figure since Heather your waitress didn't care how she treats customers, I would let you know about my families experience today at the Gateway. Went up to The Gateway to have a great lunch with my family and had the worst experience ever in my life. Got there about 1:15pm. Not busy at all. An older couple from out... More

Possibly the most expensive meal we had whilst in the U.S. It's in a lovely position and we were seated outside by the river but sadly that's where the pluses stop. This restaurant could be so much more if it only got the food right!! My seafood crepe was soggy and contained very little seafood and the salmon therein was... More
