We chose Casa Mendoza at random and were glad we did. The waitress was lovely and generous. She anticipated our wants and was quick to bring extra chips and salsa. Said chips and salsa were spicy and tasty. I had the chicken mole, which was abundant and savory. My friend had the breakfast burrito, of which he is a connoisseur,... More

The beer was cold. One salsa was hot. The food was filling and portions good. Their wait staff were a little crazed because there are few options in town and they were very busy. This little place also has a little patio. We all liked our dinners but we were also famished from a busy day in the park. But... More

This Mexican restaurant is located near the hotel Comfort Inn and Suites. It is a simple place, independent, not part of a chain. It has a lovely little terasse underneath a nice tree to eat outside. The service is a bit slow and chaotic but very sympathetic and friendly. The food is very nice. I ate a superb enchilada Mole,... More

Ate three dinners at three different places during my stay. Must say the shrimp tacos here take the cake. Tortilla and beans are the real deal. Very authentic and delicious.

Restaurant wise, there isn't much open after 6pm and this restaurant was adequate, I would have given it a 3, but my husband did not like his food; my sister and I thought ours was OK. It was clean but noisy. I think it is a family run business and they weren't very happy while we were there. But our... More

Our family ate here on a recent family vacation. One of a very few restaurants in this tiny town that is the gateway to Sequoia National Park. Friendly service--the server was nice and very attentive and gave us frequent updates on our food which took nearly an hour to arrive (they were very busy). My mom & I had the... More

We were tired from a long drive and hike in Sequoia National Park and picked up take out from the restaurant. It was great authentic food and the staff was very nice. The restaurant has inside and outside dining and is in the middle of town.

My son and I stopped for lunch here and had some really good Mexican food for a decent price. We are from Texas, and the food compares well to good Mexican food down here. He got the flautas and I got the chicken tostada. Salsa was good, all toppings were fresh and good, and the portions were generous. We would... More

I have stopped at this restaurant three times this year while touring Sequoia. Sitting on the back patio is best though the last time I was there I noticed a lot of flies. Food is good and not overly priced. Service was very good as well. I would recommend it.

Slow service although the waiter was humorous. Very tight dining quarters community style. Decent food, nothing spectacular.
