Stopped in for the first time today for lunch to The Mixing Bowl Cafe. Ordered the special which was a cabbage roll and a cup of their garlic sausage soup. Bit were scratch made and were seasoned perfectly. Also had a latte’ and it was...delicious as well. Service was spectacular and I would recommend stopping in and try whatever they have made from scratch. (Which I believe is everything). Getting pastry’s to go, so am excited to try them later.More

Excellent. One of the best breakfast spots in the US. At least in the 46 states we’ve been too. Try the breakfast burrito or the French toast. You won’t be disappointed. Very good sausage patties and coffee. 👩🏽‍🍳👩🏽‍🍳👩🏽‍🍳👩🏽‍🍳

This is an amazing restaurant! It may feel remote in western Nebraska, but it is worth it to stop here when traveling. Great service, high quality and great breakfast and lunch selections. Vegetarian and vegan options, and the little touches are wonderful: white chocolate chips...in the pancakes, truffle fries, sweet potato fries, in restaurant roasted turkey breast slides think on the California BLT and good ripe avocados. A gem to visit!More

Had late lunch late breakfast at the Mixing Bowl. It was fantastic. First off the coffee and Lattes were great. Canyon roasters from Lincoln. The open-faces breakfast burger on Challah with lettuces, tomato, bacon, egg & green chilli was unique & delicious. I added jalapeños...and didn’t need to supplement with hot sauce. The biscuits & gravy were homemade & tasty. Avocado toast supplemented with green chilli was great. Service was attentive and ambiance nice.More

Ordered the al a carte breakfasts which were excellent. Small place but comfy and homey. Looks like this is where the locals go. A great value when you are traveling and eating out all the time.

After hearing wonderful reviews about Mixing Bowl Cafe for years, I finally had an opportunity to try it while visiting family in Scottsbluff. As a mother of young children who appreciates convenience, I loved the option to call ahead and drive through the pick-up window....We got a variety of items and everyone was pleased with their food, including my extremely picky 2 year old who finished his chicken strip kids meal! Overall, I found The Mixing Bowl Cafe very affordable with a good variety of menu options and friendly service. I love supporting unique and local restaurants and will make this a regular stop when we are back visiting family.More

Good, affordable food. Great service. Happy to support a small mom & pop shop. It's a small restaurant and their brunch menu is the best.

The Mixing Bowl has become my favorite place to eat in the area. Green Chili Biscuits and Gravy with over medium eggs and crispy hash browns was amazing. I did not expect the green chili to be so present while keeping the integrity of biscuits...and gravy, with the eggs made exactly to order! I am never disappointed, and being diabetic I must be very selective about desserts, so when I do have them, it is usually at the Mixing Bowl as well, their treats never disappoint!More

This is a small breakfast/lunch restaurant. The specials are what sets this apart from the rest. Thursday is cabbage burgers (Runza like) and butterball soup. You will want to try these, especially if you have any German/Russian heritage.
