Had a quick beer at the bar -27oz Sapporo on draft. When I say the beer and stein were freezing, I mean it! Wow!! Next stop- dinner. Our Teppan guy put on an wonderful show while he cooked our meal. This Teppan place is a little bit on the smaller side which makes it a little more quaint. Overall experience... More

The teppanyaki is a lot of fun and the food and entertainment is excellent, but I never miss a chance to stop in the sushi side of the restaurant. Our favorite rolls are the Malibu Roll, Crunchy Roll, and the Halloween Roll.

My teen children love to go out for a special occasion (every other year or so) at Cho Cho San, to sit at the grill/table, watch the chef show off mad skills, and enjoy the food! The portions are large, so if you don't have a big appetite, 2 can share a meal with an extra order of rice!

One of the limitations of Trip Advisor's reviewing system is that there is no designation for good. The land that exists between very good and average. In the case of Cho Cho San I simply upgraded to Very Good, rather than downgrade to average to fit the system. It's a slightly trendier sushi spot in an area with a lot... More

Cho Cho San is predominantly a "teppanyaki" style restaurant where the chef cooks on a grill right in front of you. They make a big deal of the cooking presentation to wow you, but the food itself was only average. Very expensive for what they give you.

I visit my two granddaughters in California twice a year, for each of their birthdays. This is their favorite restaurant. They love the "show" put on by the chef cooking right in front of you. No iPad or cell phone needed to entertain young children - just watch the chef. The food is good and so is the service. I... More

I have been visiting since they had the rotating sushi conveyor belt. They took that out and improved the interior, and the sushi is still the same. Excellent ! They also have the Beni Hana style place in the corner, which I think starts at Dinner time, check for that, since I have only gone to that part at dinner... More

I have been going to Cho Cho San for lunch for almost 8 years now as I work close by. The lunch specials are priced well and you get a lot of food. I've had a few incidents, however, over the last few months. The first of many events, is that if I call my order in for pick up,... More

I like this restaurant a lot and eat there whenever I'm in the area and in the mood for Japanese grill food. Sushi...I've had better.
