Two words, Uncle Bums! This place has been in Thousand Oaks since it was just 100 Oaks, LOL! The star on the menu to me is the Uncle Bums chicken. It is a Cajun style jerk recipe that is to die for. Every item is killer tho. The habanero hot sauce is bomb. Sit outside and enjoy goodness.

Fabulous little joint on the street Eat at picnic tables in what was the old parking lot. Best tai-tip, chicken and hot-link sandwiches. Baked beans and slaw with every plate

I ordered beef ribs, it was a little bit dry because its been sitting on for a while. The beef ribs was not tender at all, you have to fight it to get it.

I rate places based on what they are trying to do. The T.O. Meat Locker is not trying to be fancy - just good. This assembly line place is the equivalent of an awesome food truck. The meat is smoked in the morning and ready to serve for lunch. My five-star rating is based on the baby back ribs. That... More

It would be very easy to overlook this unassuming location, but if you missed it you would be missing out on fantastic barbecue. The inside of this restaurant is not impressive, and if it bothers you I suggest you order your food for take out. My family ate in and enjoyed pulled pork, ribs, and tri-tips along with homemade salads... More

Meat Locker is nothing fancy, but for great BBQ it can not be beat. I usually order the beef ribs, but today I ordered the Tri Tip sandwich, wow! tender and full of flavor. The roll was soft and delicious. I had the macaroni salad side, also great. They do run out of product so go for lunch. Limited counter... More

In all honesty this place should have not be included in the list of restaurants. it is just a shack that sells quickly made food. Nobody sees this place as anything else but a simple way of satisfying your hunger. You are lucky if you find a place to sit at the outside bench. The meats are done in a... More

I have gone many time to the meat locker and always end up full and happy. I ussually get the pork ribs and tri-tip. The ribs are juicy and seasoned well, and the tri tip is never dry like some places. They have really good sauce as well. The sides are nothing amazing but more like a picnic-- salad, beans,... I have been there several times over the years. There Tri Tip Sandwich has always made my mouth water. I like the hot BBQ sauce with the sandwich. When you drive by the scent of the smoke will make your vehicle turn in automatically!

I have known the owner for close to thirty years. Coby has handled our golf BBQ for that long. Just wonderful. Restaurant is a takeout with a few tables outside. Average price, excellent food.
