About
Housed in an iconic old adobe building in the center of Santa Fe, Sazon gives its patrons a taste of what the authentic Mexico, with its fastest growing ethnic cuisine in terms of popularity, is all about. The artwork is stunning. Starting with a massive chandelier in the main hallway, custom made in Guadalajara and featuring over 16 different lamps, to the furniture and artwork, it is obvious that special attention has been given to the interior decoration. The oil on canvass paintings are beautiful, featuring artists from Mexico City, Guadalajara and Cabo, Mexico. The dining room is warm and inviting with lots of space so you don't feel crowded, but also plenty of romantic and private spots

Everything I had at Sazon was delicious, including the great wine recommendations they made. We ate at a number of great restaurants in Sante Fe and Sazon was on par and as good as the top rated restaurants we ate at. We ate outside in...the courtyard, and then they moved us inside for dessert as it had started to get kind of cold outside. The service, food, wine and ambience were great. If I visit Sante Fe in the future I will definitely be dining here again!More

We had an excellent dinner, beginning with the mole taster that we were presented when we sat down. The crab soup then followed which my wife gobbled up so fast that I barely got a taste. :-) We then tried the octopus appetizer which was...highlighted with an outstanding sauce. I ordered the pork tenderloin, bedded in a spicy mole sauce. It was cooked perfectly, moist and tender. I'd say this is the best restaurent we've experienced in Santa Fe.More

Everything about our meal was fantastic - the service, the decor and ambience (we were in the large open courtyard), the margaritas, and every one of the four courses. Its pricey, but we were so glad we tried it!

This is not your typical Mexican Restaurant, if that is what you want go somewhere else! This was an experience I will never forget! It is a foodie's paradise! The flavors where exquisite! The service was stellar! I wish I could have the Love Soup...every night of my life! I never had such a wonderful Poblano soup that just had so much depth of flavor! The ambiance was so warm and the artwork I could not stop looking at. We went there for our Anniversary and they made it one of the most memorable Anniversaries that we have celebrated. Thank you so much Sazon ! And we were also worried we were going to get a parking ticket and they went outside to check on our car for us! That is service!More

Not just a Restaurant, it’s an experience! The flavors were exquisitely combined to tantalize the tastebuds in a way never experienced. Literally the icing on the cake was the most delectable chocolate lava cake, light and airy yet silky and buttery. Impossible to enjoy with...eyes opened. The chef personally greeted us creating a familiar cozy atmosphere and relaxed dining experience.More

By far the most exceptional dining experience we have ever had. Chef Olea’s signature dessert and soup are to die for. Our server, Karla, was attentive, knowledgeable, and charismatic. With each course, our smiles grew wider, and we could not have left more satisfied. Chef...Olea and Karla, thank you for a wonderful evening.More

So after much anticipation we went to Sazon and the food was disappointing. I understand the creativity around a central Mole theme which is original and welcoming. But the execution was really not aligned with all the marketing that has been made about this restaurant....This is basic Mexican food with a more sophisticated presentation but I don’t really understand all the hoopla! Coming from El Paso we have many Mexican that offers great taste with less of a pompous presentation. The service was good but dishes came very quickly to our table, which for fresh a la minute cooking is highly questionable. Z amMore

Incredible experience. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the food and drinks are next level. I am vegetarian and the chef came out and asked me any preferences I might have. I basically left it in his hands and the meal he prepared was...pure heaven. The squash blossom appetizer was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Try the Diego Rivera cocktail too. We loved the entire experience here and will recommend it to everyone we know. Thank you to everyone at Sazon!More

This was a surprise for my husband’s birthday. We were seated outside, during this Covid event, & every staff member wore masks. Their attentiveness was superb. I wanted to try the baby grasshoppers as an appetizer, but after that our waitress guided us to our...meal. We chose, then Chef Olea, came over to our table (& others), discussing the dishes. Since we like octopus, he recommended his version. I must say, it was the most tender we’ve ever eaten. Even before the appetizers, we were each brought a slate platter with 4 of his famous mole’ sauces to sample. That, in turn, helped us decide on our entrees. We tried his recommendation for a soup (pepper & crab with a whip cream topped with cinnamon & chocolate). To die for!! My husband got a shrimp dish & I got duck breast with chocolate mole’. The chef sent a chocolate creation in celebration of the birthday. Nice wine & specialty drinks. Yes, yes, yes, we WILL return one day! Perfect atmosphere & food for any special occasion.More

The restaurant was recommended by our concierge at La Fonda and it was a great dining experience. Service was excellent and the owner personally came to our table to greet us. On this night, the restaurant served samplings of 4 different kinds of mole sauce;...we were able to select which mole was our favorite and then pair an entree from the special menu with the selection. This restaurant is a dining experience not to be missed when visiting Santa Fe.More
