About
Housed in an iconic old adobe building in the center of Santa Fe, Sazon gives its patrons a taste of what the authentic Mexico, with its fastest growing ethnic cuisine in terms of popularity, is all about. The artwork is stunning. Starting with a massive chandelier in the main hallway, custom made in Guadalajara and featuring over 16 different lamps, to the furniture and artwork, it is obvious that special attention has been given to the interior decoration. The oil on canvass paintings are beautiful, featuring artists from Mexico City, Guadalajara and Cabo, Mexico. The dining room is warm and inviting with lots of space so you don't feel crowded, but also plenty of romantic and private spots

Wonderful, but NOT Inexpensive! Chef Olea and his staff did a wonderful job. The bar creations were a nice start. We were seated right at the time of our reservation. Chef Olea greeted us and then stopped to visit at our table when we were...nearly finished eating. We highly recommend Sazon! Prices are not for the faint of heart, but you do certainly get what you pay for. Sazon IS the BEST in Santa Fe!! B&RMore

Food-out of this world. Celebration of flavors. Creative, flavorful, and rich. Service-top notch. Attentive. From the host to the waiters, everyone was an expert in the food. Chef came out as well, which was a treat to meet the man behind the innovative food! We...tried 4 out of the 5 desserts and each one was amazing. For dinner we had the rack of lamb, soup, house salad, and the three meat dish. Sooooooooo yummy, we came here two nights in a row. We’ve eaten at Michelin restaurants before and this was way better! Incredible experience.More

My wife and high had a highlight experience at Sazon during our trip to Santa Fe. From the attentive staff to the fantastic Chef’s Degustación menu that we opted for, it was a highlight of our trip. We were lucky to meet Chef Fernando Olea...during our meal. He was both a fantastic host and a creative chef. Anybody dining here would surely enjoy it as we did. We can’t wait to come back. Salud!More

We recently traveled to Santa Fe for a long weekend. We made it a point to return to Sazon again. Being Chef Olea’s specialty, the restaurant starts you out with a mole tasting. In addition to the regular menu items, they had a protein selection...you can add one of the mole sauces. We started with the chef’s signature soup, crab poblano. It is absolutely one of the best dishes ever tasted. For the main course, my wife had the sea bass with a verde mole, and I had the lamb chops with the red chile mole. Both were very delicious! We had the house margs which were very smooth and tasty. Chef Olea walked around to greet all the patrons. Sazon is a must when you go to Santa Fe! It will be one of the best restaurants you ever eat at.More

People use the term "life changing" quite a bit these days, but in this case absolutely TRUE! You must make reservations, and if you are fortunate to dine here, order the Sopa de Amor. Everything we ordered was also amazing and the service was top...notch. Cannot wait to return to Santa Fe and to Sazon again some day!!!More

What an incredible experience! We loved everything about this place! We had incredible service and amazing food. Chef Olea also greets all the guests. We loved the tasting and explanation of the moles are the beginning, which help decide your perfect protein pairing. Also the...Dulce Sinfonia dessert is a must! Great wine and spirits list as well. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with local art. We also attended (on a separate day) the tequila tasting, which was so educational and a tasty experience. Will certainly return!More

I know how frustrating that is! Same thing happened to me at the Coyote Cafe in Santa Fe. My guess is that while the restaurant is operating with a skeleton staff they may answer the phone only during business hours. And... More
