The manager of the house we rented had left a list of recommended restaurants and this was one. We just did not have a good experience. Margaritas were bland. Salsa was the highlight. We had a variety of dishes (fajitas, burritos, chile rellenos, enchiladas) and none were really good. We drove by this place many times and generally there were... More

We originally had planned on going to Tomasita's, but it was Labour Day Weekend and the place had a 45 minute wait. Remembering our good experiences looking for dining outside of the area, we headed down Cerrillos and found this little gem. It was busy, but we were seated reasonably fast. They serve you chips with 3 kinds of salsas.... More

This is authentic Mexican food. I know, because I have lived in Mexico for 10 years. The molcajete al pastor is sublime. There is a place in Loreto that makes tacos al pastor that are the best I have ever had--this is their equal. Enough with the Tex-Mex--go here.

This place always hits the spot, I don't care how the menus look im here for the food! The corn tortillas are always hand made, and the food is served sizzling. Try the birria!

In a city known for its Southwestern food, Los Potrillos stands out. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, almost family like. The menu is large, and the price is right. The food is wonderful and the portions are good. Try the Posole!

Santa Fe is about the tourists — especially the old city huddled around its charming cathedral basilica. At peak tourist season, it can be well-nigh impossible to get a table without a reservation at any of the many good restaurants in the old part of the city, and well-nigh impossible to get a reservation, period. If you have access to... More

The only reason we ate here was that the traffic was so backed up on Cerrillos because of the construction that we decided to eat lunch. That was a great decision! Very friendly staff, quaint sitting area, nice murals on the walls, and most important, real Mexican food, not New Mexican food. Lots of seafood dishes that looked delicious and... More

Thought we were back in Mexico dining here !! The menu is pretty extensive with lots of great choices. Had the gorditos and they were tasty. We would definitely come back as there's at least another dozen items on the menu wewould like to try.

Great service, promt seating, attentive waitress. I had the pupusas, she had the enchiladas. Very good. Best Mexican food outside the quick food joints Ive had in NM. I pass on the New Mexican restaurants red or green is just way too limiting in choices. I always opt for a good Mexican restaurant youll have more choices in the menu and... More

Great versions of true Mexican cuisine such as Chiles en Nogada. Criterion guacamole.. Friendly service with a desire to please customer, even a crowd.
