Christmas Eve Lunch

We as other travelers have mentioned just happened to co.e across this small quaint restaurant for lunch. Service was a little slow as there was only one waiter but the service was good. Access to the venue is from a nondescript door with signs directing you up a set of stairs. Upon arrival you enter what is primarily a bar area with sparse table settings. Keep walking and it widens out to the proper dining area. I don't recall there being any sort of theme to the restaurant furniture; seemed like stuff was... More

We wandered in to Elevation when we left another uninteresting restaurant. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress and served great Santa Fe food. The Green Chili Mac and Cheese was so good that I've been trying to do it at home. My vegetarian stuffed poblano pepper was surrounded in an amazing red pepper sauce. My husband's chicken enchilda... My parents and i ended up here because of a coupon and if I didn't live a state away, I would be here all the time. On first view the restaurant is quite small but that turned out to work in our favor as it never felt like we had to wait long for our server. We did have to... More

We wanted to walk, so we landed here based on reviews and proximity. The ambiance was not what we expected, very spare, kind of an echo and bit slow (but it was a Monday). They were out of wine, which at first was disappointing, but rather than begrudge them, I got a beer and committed to giving them a chance.... More

Stopped in for lunch after reading some positive reviews here and elsewhere. We were underwhelmed. The space -- with its concrete floors, metal furniture, and jarring acoustics -- felt bare bones and chilly, not ideally suited to a frigid afternoon in December. Service was perky -- lots of "awesomes" in response to our various choices (chicken Niçoise salad and fish... More

Love this place. Great food, super great service from Maria and a good selection of drinks. Try the chile fries for an appetizer.

Great food, decent atmosphere. Not sure if they're going for bar, bistro, or upscale diner. Really good food though. Only knock is it was really busy and only 1 waiter, 1 helper, and 2 cooks. Got kind of crazy plus having to wait a little longer than usual for food. Regardless, go and eat there. You won't be disappointed.

Soups, grilled cheese and zucchini and squash ribbon dish were very good --great flavors and reason for 4 star rating. Atmosphere a little off as though not sure the type of vibe the restaurant is trying to achieve. Music and tv in tight bar area. If better weather, we would have enjoyed sitting outside.

I went to Elevation because I thought it was not mainstream but had good reviews and was reasonable. The waiter convinced me to have the special, but in retrospect I should have asked the price. What I received was angel hair with mussels, previously frozen baby shrimp in a cream sauce. It was truly mediocre at best. When I got... More
