If you like Spanish tapas, this place will send you into orbit. Adventurous choices and all of them delicious and expertly done. It's a small place and the dining room seating is tight but workable. And the food is so incredibly good you won't mind...More

We are fans of tapas but were quite disappointed by La Boca. Service was fine but the food was poor and the sangria much too sweet. The pan con tomate -- one of our favorite tapas starters -- was cold and flavorless (but oily); other...More

Large group of ten people and we all loved it. Tapas delicious and something for everyone. Service was excellent. Each started with two tapas and ended up having enough to pass around.

We found two tapas apiece to be about the right amount and we shared ours all around even though we really only found one we all agreed upon ordering. The menu is large, with many foods described in unfamiliar terms, and the selections are dominated...More

We'd had a big breakfast and even after walking all day wanted something a little lighter. The tapas menu selection for happy hour is incredible and really well priced. They even have a few beverages on special, which seems to be increasingly uncommon for happy...More

Came solo and had a great time and a very good meal! Chose the eggplant with manchego and honey, then continued with trio of spreads, made from beet, tahini and eggplant, paired with yogurt infused flatbread. To this, a glass of Tempranillo 2008 from Rioja....More

Food was very good. We had the paella, grilled brussel sprouts tapas and to die for manchego cheese tapas rolled in crumbs and fried (we ordered seconds on the cheese). I tried a glass of Montsant Sola Fred wine that was very good. Although the...More

We got 2 starters -- the artichokes which had a wonderful lemon sauce and the bruschetta which was the best. It was an egg with mushrooms and cream sauce. That was fabulous. The main courses we had of chicken and shrimp tacos were tasteless without...More

Our waiter, Jay, helped us choose the items for the 4 of us in our party and we loved them all, especially the artichokes, the flat iron steak, and the ahi tuna. The desserts he recommended we also fantastic. We made a reservation for the...More

I don't know about the tasting menu, we had dinner there once in May and it was wonderful. I don't think you can go wrong here. Make sure you have a reservation.

Description
Opened in 2006 by 8 time James Beard Award Nominee, Chef James Campbell Caruso. La Boca has the feel of a lively European wine bar, featuring an extensive selection of carefully chosen Mediterranean and South American wines. Knowledgeable and animated staff graciously guide customers to the perfect wine to complement their meals. La Boca also prides itself on being an ambassador of Spanish sherry culture, transporting its guests to Cadiz in the crisp cool flavors of Fino, or the deep fig-essence of a Pedro Ximenez. Full to capacity almost every night since its opening, La Boca has been a hit with both locals and the world travelers that visit Santa Fe. La Boca has earned numerous awards both local and national, including the Santa Fe Reporter’s “Restaurant of the Year,” and the International Wine and Food Society’s “Award of Excellence.”
