Above reproach. While other local restaurants ebb and flow with their quality of food and service, The Pantry is always impeccable regarding both.
The atmosphere is home-like, the staff is courteous and attentive and the food is consistently good! Often, when trying to decide where to eat, when The Pantry is mentioned, it's always unanimous! "Of course! Why didn't we think of that earlier?"
It's always the first restaurant we take our family and friends to when they visit, because we know it will be awesome.
This is the first review I've ever given and was inspired to do so by this left-over plate of Chicken Fried Steak in front of me... just as good as it was last night.
Bottom-line; This is one of my favorite places to eat in The World.
The Pantry is epic.

We were in Santa Fe for the annual Indian Market. The crowds are massive, most places are overrun. We went to the Pantry EARLY, around 8:00 and walked right in. The food was spectacular and the service was better. This is one of those breakfast places (you know the kind) where they just deliver a simple, great, hearty breakfast. GO THERE, but go early.

We came for breakfast this day and were surprised that we got in as quick as we did but (yes, we did go close to opening). Parking lot was already full and no bar seat or window seat was to be had. We sat in the back dining area in the far corner by the coffee station (last table left). We opted to try their Chicken Fried Steak breakfast with both Gravy and Green Chile sauce (loved this). I liked the breakfast more than my husband, who was raised in the South, did and I think his disappointment was in the biscuits as was mine and we will give those an "average" rating as they were not fluffy but, more dense and heavy in nature. This is a local cuisine type of place (serving real butter) and worthy of a stop. We will go again and try their lunch on the next trip!
Parking: Free on their lot

I have no idea why this place has so many good reviews. There is absolutely nothing to rave about.
I had the combo plate. The beans were dry, the chili in the rellenos was so tough I could not cut them with a fork. The meat in the taco was dry and stringy.
They do not offer salsa, you have to request it, and then you get a “Barbie” size bowl.
The guy at the front was rude when we inquired about patio dining. The waiter never offered a refill on our water or asked my husband if he would like a second beer.

Truly great food; we were staying a few blocks away and came for brunch. I had the breakfast burrito with green chile and it was perfectly cooked and very affordable. They have a lot of outdoor seating although it may be more difficult to find a table outside during peak hours. Call first if you’re planning to head over between 9am and noon, especially on a weekend.

That stuffed French toast is all that, and my 15 year old son returned three times during our visit he loved it so much. Also—the chile relleno omelet. Very handy as it is only a block from El Rey Court.

Don't expect fancy but when you see the line out the door with both locals and tourists you'll know why this is the #1 rated restaurant in Santa Fe. There is a wait but they give you a buzzer and the line moves fast. We arrived about 10 AM on a Sunday morning and waited about 20 minutes and oh so worth it. This is a family owned restaurant and they are so friendly and make you feel welcomed. The food is really extraordinary and I don't say that lightly. The quality of the ingredients are fresh and tasty. The coffee is hot and plentiful. Don't miss it.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch based on trip advisor reviews and we were not disappointed. I ordered the combo plate and opted for both red and green sauce on the chicken enchilada, chili relleno, brisket taco which was packed to the top with meat, served with beans, rice and a tortilla. The red and green enchilada sauce tasted authentic (homemade)...not that generic "canned" flavor that you get at some restaurants. No complaints on anything, it was all very delicious! My husband ordered the 3 chicken tacos with beans and rice which he really enjoyed. The chips and salsa were very flavorful as well. The portions were large enough to share a plate. Everything on the menu looked really good and the prices were reasonable. Our 2 dinner plates and 4 beers came out to $42. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Overall we had a great experience! Thank you ☺

At his suggestion, we met a friend here for a late breakfast on a Sunday morning. With seating restrictions we had to wait, but not too long to be seated after which we were attended to promptly. I had the cinnamon cakes, eggs and sausage, my wife had the veggie omlette and our friend has his usual breakfast sandwich on a tortilla toasted extra crispy. The food was delivered promptly and tasted great. As a special plus there are beautiful photographs on the wall which are for sale. I hate chain restaurants and seek out locally owned ones whenever possible, thankfully I didn't have to do this as a visitor and would recommend it to anyone.

My wife and I have only been here for breakfast, but will not miss an opportunity for lunch or dinner. Their HASH offering is one of the best I've ever, large chunks of corned beef over their special potatoes with a bit of green pepper for color, topped with two eggs cooked to order, and your choice of tortilla, toast or biscuit. My choice was the biscuit, not house made, but light enough. My wife had the VEGGIE OMLETTE with sourdough toast and the veggies were cooked to her liking (not crunchy). Previously I had Durango omelette with biscuits and gravy (note, there is no sausage in it) and again the wife had the veggie omelette. Be aware, it is very popular and their is a wait for seating most of the time, including at the counter. As an added bonus, there is artwork plus outstanding photographs by Kirt Kempter to gaze upon as well as purchase

Eating out can be pricey especially for breakfast. However, Pantry will go easy on your wallet! We ate at the OG (original) one twice and then the downtown one as well, and we were NEVER disappointed. The food was delicious, and it had some of the best green chili sauce I had ever eaten. The servers couldn't have been more helpful. We loved every bite and moment we were there.

Such yummy food! Breakfast is served all day long. He had the 2 egg breakfast special that was served with sausage, fabulous fries, bisquits and gravy. I had the combination platter which was a STUFFED brisket taco, chili relleno and a great chicken enchilada. Don't miss the chips and salsa. They fry the chips up just right and they make the best salsa ever! I ordered my green and red sauce on the side. The red sauce won my vote! This is a favorite place for the locals. As a tourists, I will be back!

I drove by this place twice today and both times there was a line, usually a hint about whether a place is good. My wife came at 6:30pm after hiking Atalaya Mountain trail. We were hungry and a place that serves breakfast all day sounded perfect. So glad we tried it. The atmosphere is welcoming and it appears to be a family-run biz, another plus. We started with a mimosa, our reward for completing a tough 3-hour hike. I had the pancake/bacon/scrambled eggs combo. I asked for the bacon to be extra crispy and it was. My wife had the stuffed french toast with eggs and she said it was some of the best she ever had. Our server checked on us several times, even as the place became surprisingly busy near closing time. Great experience all around!

Came here specifically for breakfast. Most of us got the “Stuffed French toast” there is also stuffed pancakes as well. These were very good with cream cheese in between two slices French toast with a blueberry strawberry warm compote on top. No need for syrup. Comes with a side of eggs and bacon also for extra. Omelettes are very good as well. Good coffee. Ample parking at rear. Inside and covered outside dining areas. Lots of big group tables too. Friendly staff too. Very enjoyable experience. Didn’t need any stupid masks either.

We had dinner here during a trip to Santa Fe because the reviews looked good and we wanted some comfort food. Pantry Restaurant was a great choice. It's very casual and looked like it's run by a family. We were immediately greeted upon arrival and offered a table in the front room. I ordered the hot turkey sandwich smothered with brown gravy--it was divine! It came with mashed potatoes and very fresh sauteed veggies, which were a pleasant surprise. My husband got the patty melt and it was cooked perfectly and he really enjoyed it. He also got the New Mexican beef stew as his side and said it was really hearty and very tasty. Prices were very reasonable and we left with full tummies and a great impression of this place. I'd definitely come back here on my next visit to Santa Fe.
