My family ate lunch at The Pantry. The 4 of us split two combination plates and I can definitely recommend the brisket tacos, the chile rellanos, and the chicken enchiladas. The green chile sauce was excellent and I would love to eat here again!
A wonderful meal at a local place. My wife had the huevos rancheros and I had the green chile stew. Both were delicious.
In my opinion, after trying multiple green chile stews, this is the best one in town. The right amount of heat, meat,...and taste.
Good service. Limited wait. Inside and outside seating depending on your preference.More
I've lived in Santa Fe for about four years. For a long time I delayed writing a review. There already is a wait all during business hours. So I might as well admit the is THE place for the best New Mexican breakfast. The burrito...is to die for. Try the Chorizo/Fried Potatoes/Red Sauce/Egg combo.More
Mainly stopped here based on the reviews - there are so many places it's sometimes hard to choose but I'm happy we tried The Pantry. Tried the chicken enchiladas - Christmas style - and it was delicious. Good amount of chicken inside the enchiladas and...good rice. I'm just dinging a star for two things - The pinto beans were very bland and while I thought both the green and red sauces were very good, they could have maybe used a bit more flavor (and maybe spice/heat). My son ordered the chicken nachos and it was a very generous portion size with a lot of meat. He can be kind of picky, but really enjoyed them. Chips and salsa were good, but not free (which seems to be common in New Mexico - at least at the places I've tried). Waitress and other staff I interacted with were very friendly.More
The Pantry used to be the best place in Santa Fe for breakfast. But seems to have slipped a bit post-pandemic. Ordered my eggs over easy … they arrived undercooked. The buttermilk pancakes simply tasted like regular pancakes. And they were not fluffy. Only one...choice of syrup. The bacon was good and crispy. Still recommended but not as good.More
I have no idea why this place has so many good reviews. There is absolutely nothing to rave about.
I had the combo plate. The beans were dry, the chili in the rellenos was so tough I could not cut them with a fork. The...meat in the taco was dry and stringy.
They do not offer salsa, you have to request it, and then you get a “Barbie” size bowl.
The guy at the front was rude when we inquired about patio dining. The waiter never offered a refill on our water or asked my husband if he would like a second beer.More
What a find! Out hotel recommended us to her DFID a late lunch on our arrival day, after driving through a 1/4” hail storm. We liked if soooo much we came back for a FANTASTIC breakfast!
Saw couples having Mimosa’s but ordered their breakfast Margarita!...My lovely lady did have a Peach Mimosa! Both left nothing to be desired!
I can heartily recommend their Huevos Rancheros! Their breakfast menu is extensive and all good!
Service is soo friendly and fast and attentive without being introduce!
You cannot go wrong starting your day here!!
We were in Santa Fe for our anniversary, and I wanted to have chicken fried steak, because that's what we had 50 years ago. So, I typed in chicken fried steak to search for a place that serves it and The Pantry came up.
The...steak, though not Texas style, was delicious. It was tender and not overly seasoned. The "real" mashed potatoes were a welcome surprise, and the steamed vegetables were different from the usual fare.
My husband ordered enchiladas with green chili. The chili was wonderful, and the beans were great.
The service was good.More
Just a wonderful place and staff! Always pleasant and accommodating, even with the covid issues. I truly appreciate them working so hard during this time and making things work for your customers!! Food is awesome and never disappoints. A must stop for breakfast, lunch or...dinner. Great place!More
My wife and I have only been here for breakfast, but will not miss an opportunity for lunch or dinner. Their HASH offering is one of the best I've ever, large chunks of corned beef over their special potatoes with a bit of green pepper...for color, topped with two eggs cooked to order, and your choice of tortilla, toast or biscuit. My choice was the biscuit, not house made, but light enough. My wife had the VEGGIE OMLETTE with sourdough toast and the veggies were cooked to her liking (not crunchy). Previously I had Durango omelette with biscuits and gravy (note, there is no sausage in it) and again the wife had the veggie omelette. Be aware, it is very popular and their is a wait for seating most of the time, including at the counter. As an added bonus, there is artwork plus outstanding photographs by Kirt Kempter to gaze upon as well as purchaseMore
