We visited the Chocolate MavenBakery while on vacation over the Christmas holiday with our granddaughter, what a treat! We were seated by the window where our granddaughter could watch the bakers in action during our breakfast, she was intrigued throughout breakfast! I had the breakfast burrito which was full of flavor, my husband had the eggs Benedict and loved it,... More

Flourless chocolate cake? No, just something like fudge. Really not worth it. Really bad. Choc Maven needs backing lessons.

Christmas special - Eggnog French Toast. Wonderful! We went back a day or two later and got their French Toast with Peach compote. Equally good. A definite must place to eat in Santa Fe.

This unique place is a bit of a hole-in-the-wall, but the breakfast was amazing. The dining room was very small (intimate), but the neat thing is that it overlooks the bakery. So while you're waiting for your food, you can watch the workers in the bakery preparing dough, cutting it into shapes, and getting it ready to be baked. When... More

The baked goods are extraordinary at Chocolate Maven. It seems like it was a bakery that one day decided to cram a seating area for a restaurant into the bakery. So, the bakery is great, the restaurant is so-so. Sort of a Quonset Hut feel to the outside and a make shift restaurant feel if you are dining in.

I heard so many good things about this place, perhaps it ruined my experience. I had brunch here and it was seriously lacking. The tofu scramble was way too spicy, overwhelming all other flavors in the dish. I am down with spice but it has to be well done, they seriously missed the mark here. Also, the dining room was... We have continued to frequent the Chocolate Maven over the past few months and continue to enjoy the food. I decided to take my mother-in-law (who is 89 years old) and my daughter (10 years old) to experience the '"high tea" offering at the restaurant. The restaurant offers this experience most weekdays starting at 3.00 and also on Saturdays. It... More

This is our second visit here. We enjoy watching the bakers in the open kitchen. This place is off the beaten path and Santa Fe but well worth looking it up. We came for a very reasonably priced cream tea you, but high tea is also an option. They serve breakfast until 6 PM. Fancy coffees and a wide selection... More

The restaurant is out of the way. You wouldn't know it was there if someone hadn't told you about it. The sandwich I ordered was delicious & the bread pudding was wonderful for dessert. You can watch them making the bakery products from the small dining room. There is a large glassed area that looks into the bakery. Very quaint... More

When we arrived, the parking lot was packed and hoped the place was not completely filled. Upon entering, we were greeted fairly soon which was great noticing how busy it was. Since it was just my husband and I, we were offered a table for two but it was near a walkway. We declined and mentioned we would wait for... More
