I called & made reservations for a visiting VIP who loves good beef or bison. When we arrived, we were told there were no reservations for us, the manager came out & all but said I was not telling the truth in front of our...visiting Doctor. She made no effort to be accommodating or apologetic to our group of three. There were 80% empty tables at the time. We had eaten there before - atmosphere is very nice; food is good but $$$$, Wine selection is passable. We have not been back since then - very unpleasant & embarrassing experience. Fortunately there are many great places to eat in Santa Fe.More

We have visited La Casa Sena before and had a good experience. Our visit this week was not very good. Right from the start the staff appeared as if they did not want to be there. Service throughout the meal was perfunctory. Enjoyed the hummus...plate to start the meal which was good but when we requested additional pita bread they told us we would have to pay additional. The meals were OK, I had the steak and my wife had the duck ( which was not very good ) We were in and out in less than an hour. I realize running a restaurant in the COVID environment is difficult, but there are many better choices in Santa Fe at this price point.More

Chose Casa Sena for its tables in the courtyard, and we were the only patrons eating, social distancing was pretty simple to accomplish. Salade Niçoise is more often than not my go-to option when available on the menu. This one was the most creative, artistic...and tasty I have ever had. OK, a boiled egg is a boiled egg, but that's not the point. The presentation was different and attractive and the choice of ingredients and flavors was the difference: purple potatoes, red and yellow beets, giant alcaparras and kalamata olives all combined with the sesame-crusted tuna perfectly warm made for a wonderful assortment of flavors. As to the other folks, the Mediterranean trio was very good and, again, different. Not to forget the corn muffin that were also delicious. This salad, however, is still in my memory, both as a picture and as flavors and this will now become my golden standard for Salade Niçoise. Kudos to the sous-chef who prepared our meal on that day.. Also noteworthy is a solid adherence to safe practices, including a sanitized bill holder that made me feel better and readily available hand sanitizer dispenser Patio eating at lunch time in full sun with 47F outside was perfect.More

We had lunch here a couple of days ago. We were seated quickly, but the service was a bit on the slow side. The setting is lovely, outdoors in a courtyard. The food was quite good, a mixture of different Mediterranean styles. The dolmas were...well done, though strictly vegetarian. We also had the Mediterranean Trio, which was an eggplant dip, hummus, and possibly a red pepper hummus. They were OK, although very short on the pita bread. The meatballs we ordered were dry, not very good at all. Their tsatsiki was runny. Flavorful, but runny. It was a nice break from walking around and something different from the usual tourist oriented fare found in Santa Fe.More

The menu has been changed temporarily and hopefully permanently to a Greek Mediterranean menu and a pastichio is absolutely excellent the flavors are perfect and not too many noodles, the gyros were excellent his sauces are great, and the bakava had such a clean flavor...to it!!! Excellent we hope this menu stays in place and Will revisit.More

Strange menu for Santa Fe. Kind of Middle East, find something you’ve never had. Ambiance is still great. Service, not so much. Left alone for 20 minutes after lunch, no simple “would you like to see a desert menu? Anything else I can get you?”...Had to waive down waitress. Presented a bill with no bus service. Had to push aside plates to have room to sign the check. Cmon....you guys can do better than this.More

For years we've counted on La Casa Sena as our "go to" choice for lunch when on the Plaza in Santa Fe. However, on a recent visit to the city different we were dismayed to learn that the restaurant had drastically changed its lunch menu....The new version is styled as Mediterranean. No more burgers or enchiladas. The two entrees we tried were not very good IMHO. The patio remains a beautiful setting, but we'll have to find someplace else for lunch in Santa Fe.More

We were excited to have La Casa Sena reopen for patio seating, just in time for our anniversary at the end of July. Due to current COVID regulations in New Mexico, only outdoor seating is allowed. La Casa Sena opened a little later than other...restaurants due to some work. The state allows 50% patio capacity, so they have expanded the table area beyond its usual borders and only allow customers inside the designated roped off area, once each person has their temperature taken. This is beyond safeguards we have so far encountered. Also, both tables and chairs are sprayed down with disinfect between customers. While many restaurants have had to push out onto the street to serve , La Casa Sena's large and shaded patio is comfortable, peaceful and romantic as it sits in the courtyard of an old two story hacienda. The food is always interesting, delicious, and beautifully presented. The well trained staff is attentive. The newest descriptions of the menu say that this is Mediterranean inspired, but I did not notice that. My husband was pleased to find his favorite from last year still on the menu, pan seared ruby trout, with an olive type topping he loves. I had scallops with couscous , a touch of apple and a yummy rose beurre blanc. Once word gets out that they are open, it would be wise to make reservations for lunch or dinner.More

We have been hoping this restaurant would be open since it has one of the largest and loveliest patios in Santa Fe. The governor is allowing outdoor seating at 50% and no indoor at all , at least for a while yet. The patio for...La Casa Sena is located in the courtyard of an old hacienda and doentvtake up the entire space. I was hoping that they would expand seating into some of the garden area by our anniversary on the 30th. I'll keep checking back.More

Highly recommend the elk steak dinner. Perfectly presented and cooked. Also highly recommend the beet-based appetizer. And if you like having wine with dinner, this is your place. An excellent, vast selection
