We got two croissants and coffee and they were great. It was just across the street from our hotel so a very easy option for a quick breakfast on the go. We were told that this is where most restaurants in the area buy their bread.

I went in to buy a cinnamon melt. I saw a bug crawling around on one in the case. I asked if it was a sugar ant and was told by the employee that the bugs are in the flour. Although it may be more protein, I was not enticed to buy the pastry that day...

Stopped in for a late lunch. The bakery attracts tourists and locals equally. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I had an egg salad sandwich for lunch and it was delicious. I purchased some bakery to take with me. The chili cheese bread was outstanding! The best chili cheese bread I've ever had. I was lucky enough to get... More

Sage Bakehouse truly could not be more wonderful. We walked there for breakfast on a cool Saturday morning in early September from our hotel in the center of the old city, and thoroughly enjoyed the walk. Fortunately, we arrived just before hordes of other hungry breakfast-seekers poured through the doors and the line began to snake from the ordering counter... More

Real bread! And good coffee, a perfect combination. Plus wonderful staff and a lovely patio. Cool water is complimentary, very nice touch. We went for breakfast (twice), but the lunch menu looked very attractive as well!

Two of us had very fresh salad (arugula and roasted carrots) and sandwich (egg, Serrano ham, avocado) plus a small serving of flourless chocolate cake. The food was delicious and the service exceedingly gracious. The fresh bread aromas are almost edible.

Bread this good is almost not fair, because you can't stop eating it! The breakfast tartines, consisting of eggs over long pieces of toast, were yummy. The owner stopped by our table and chatted. She is amazing. She brought the French technique back to Santa Fe and had ovens installed that mist the breads as they bake. You can tell... More

This bakery supplies many markets in Santa Fe with authentic European style breads. But they also have an elegant little San Francisco style bistro where you can get delectable pastries, sandwiches, salads, quiches (made with organic eggs!), etc. And farm to table is a priority here. The quality is consistent, the prices reasonable and the service is always gracious. My... More

We had eggs on toast with ham for breakfast. It sounded basic but was delicious. The pastries and home made jam were also excellent. It is pricey but you do get quality. The menu is quite limited. You order and pay at the counter. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

Be sure to read the chalkboard menu! Very good ice tea available early in the a.m. - coffee is probably good too. We enjoyed it!
