Great Tapas and efficient, friendly service. We loved everything we ate especially the pear salad, anchovy salad, and flan. They were following all Covid regs very well. Service was fast and efficient. Love, love. Will go back

The El Meson has a nice vibe in the dining room. The tapas was great. Of course the Ham was awesome, I would have liked a little more melon but ... the lamb skewers were tasty , the spinach salad was fantastic! The paella was...good , I’ve had better but this was very tasty. We had a great time and it was about $50 each with soft drinks.More

Delicious food and excellent service! Everything we ordered was on point. Ordered a couple of tapas and dinner. Had the steak and seafood paella. Highly recommend!

As a frequent customer of El Mesón, I was excited to hear that they were offering curbside and delivery services during the pandemic. The delivery was speedy and the food of the same high quality when it arrived. We ordered a paella mariscos for two...and an ensalada rucula to share; both were of the same high quality we had come to love. The delivery driver provided contactless delivery, which was much appreciated. Recently, the restaurant reopened for dine in service; the food was as amazing as we had remembered and the space impeccably cleaned.More

Was great to be able to have a lovely meal (tapas and a seafood paella) delivered to our home. My husband and I are of the target age for the coronavirus, so are being extra careful to keep a distance. Mostly eating at home, but...great to have a lovely full meal from one of our favorite restaurants. We especially appreciate that they are using delivery to help keep their staff employed.More

I had dinner here with a few friends on a weekday night. It was very quiet and the dining room is lovely. The food was outstanding and our waiter was excellent. The prices are a little high considering they’re small plates, but the quality is...definitely there. The only thing I would change is that every staff member we encountered addressed us as “guys.” “How are you guys doing ?” “Would you guys like anything else?” “What do you think guys, would you like dessert?“ The atmosphere, the food, and the quality presented us with high expectations. Being addressed as “guys“ when you’re in your 80s feels disrespectful. I am sure that this is a habitual use of the word. However, given that this is a fine dining establishment, my suggestion would be to address this and to drop the use of this type of casual slang. My friends felt a little insulted. Maybe it’s generational, but I felt it to be excessive, as well.More

This Spanish tapa restaurant was excellent! We went on a night with live jazz music and it was wonderful. The servers didn't hurry us and we just kept ordering a few tapas and drinks through the night. We made reservations for dinner and asked for...a table near the musicians and they gave us a wonderful table. It's fine dining but the price was not out of what you would expect for a nice experience like we had, and we felt fine in jeans, coming from hanging out in the plaza area all day. We especially liked the cured meat plate, the mushroom caps, and the 3 oz. tenderloin plate. The sangria was great also!More

We ordered 3 tapas, and a dinner salad $17, muscles in a tomato sauce- which was good size portion, shrimp tapas about 5 tiny small shrimp, broccoli rob small portion, and one small flourless chocolate cake dessert. Food of good but expensive. Dinner for 2...was 84 dollars. An hour later my husband was hungry.More

My wife and I dined at El Meson last week for our anniversary. It was our second visit and we could not have been more pleased. The ambiance verges on elegant and is much better than other high-end Tapas restaurants in Santa Fe. Our server...Ryan did an extremely good job - friendly, knowledgeable about the menu selections and specials, prompt and professional. I had hoped our receipt would have been more specific about our tapas selections (solely to be able to single ones out). In any event, we shared an arugula salad that had both shrimp and orange slices in it and also had a stew, 3 ounce filet mignon with excellent sauce, scallops, and eggplant fries. From the points of view of portion size, presentation, and quality I would rate all of the dishes very highly. We each had 2 drinks. While the wine-by-the-glass servings seemed a tad small, the selections were fine. Our tab before tip was only $127+/-. That was a great ending to a fine dining experience and we are already planning to go back on our next special occasion.More

Delicious assorted tapas and nice wine selection. Great Spanish guitar with a trio and guest performers. Perfect night out.
