We come to Santa Fe on average once per month. La Choza was on the list of places to visit for dinner and we made it here tonight. We were told that we needed to arrive early as they do not take reservations and the line starts to grow rather quickly. They opened at 5pm and we arrived at 5:20... More

La Choza has very good New Mexican (not the same as Mexican) food. Been a decade or more since I was there. I'm usually drawn to Los Portillos for Mexican food but had a craving for actual New Mexican food and decided to retry this place. Had lunch and enjoyed the food very much. First it was a cold afternoon... More

Very good New Mexican food, spicy with NM chili. Clean place, very busy waited almost an hour for a table but that is what happens when you go to a very good classic local place at the peak of dinner time. Fun place, not too noisy, very clean. Spicy food, be careful if you are not a spice eater, talk... More

Our local guide (son in law) loves this place. My wife does not like "heat" in her food; she was guided to menu items that she enjoyed so much that we went out of our way to eat there again on our way back to Albuquerque. I like "heat' and had no trouble finding it.

Great meal! Food was terrific, staff very helpful in choosing from the huge menu. All our meals were great, served quick and hot. I will definitely be back next time I am in Santa Fe.

The La Choza Restaurant was a good choice recommended by our hotel. The food was excellent & so were the Margaritas! Service was very friendly and attentive.

Service was excellent! The restaurant was clean and has a good atmosphere! Food was just OK and our margarita's were, to our surprise, very flavorless...I had a frozen sangria swirl and it had no flavor at all and my husband had the house margarita on the rocks and it was the same.

FIrst trip here based on reviews. Seeking a Southwestern menu. The Don Margaritas are incredible, and loaded, also tried the Trio appetizer followed by Fish Tacos (great for my wife who likes mild) and the Pick 3 combo for me. The chili relleno was ok, the pork tamale was very good, and the Chicken avodabo was excellent. They also make... More
