Nice to see they had a parking lot. Arrived on a Tuesday for 11am opening for lunch. Was puzzled why we were seated in the added enclosed patio area when we were among the first 10 patron to be seated. By the time we left that patio space, the bar and all visible seating was filled - so guess it... More

I have eaten at the sister restaurant The Shed, which I love. La Choza is also great! Truly, my margarita was the best part of the meal! I did have delicious enchiladas with both red and green chile (Christmas), but the night we were there the chiles were too spicy for my taste, and I love spicy food. Excellent service... More

Went with friends for lunch - a wonderful place to meet. Tried the green chile clam chowder and found it to be delicious. Had the fish tacos with blue corn tacos - lots of fish. The super burrito was very tasty - especially with the chicken aravado. Margaritas were tasty. Service was good. Prices average for Santa Fe.

I really, really do not understand why this restaurant and the Shed have such a good reputation in Santa Fe. The food is substandard. A friend took me out for dinner recently and we ate there because it was within walking distance from her house. Walking in, I felt uplifted by the bustling atmosphere. It is packed with patrons and... More

The food was decent but I'm not sure why this place is so popular. Decent means not great. The prices are mid range and portions are healthy. The ambiance is comforting so that must be it. When you're here, it feels like something is happening. We had chile rellenos and chicken enchiladas. I wish I was praising them; they were... More

La Choza (The Shed in Spanish; owned by the same people who own The Shed restaurant near the plaza) is located near Cerrillos Road and St. Francis Drive at the south end of the Rail Yard. The food is beautifully presented, the posole is outstanding and the red chile (very sturdy red chile) enchiladas are simply the best in New... More

Went on the fly on a Fri night. The dearth of parking spots nearby was a hint of what to expect. The line to have dinner was almost out the door. There was a bar waiting list also for those willing to eat at the bar. Utter chaos. There was absolutely NO WAY the staff could deal w/ the manifest... More

I have had many red chile enchiladas here. The chili is rich and tasty on blue corn tortillas. The serving with pinto beans and posole is ample. I just tried the green chile which was zesty. I really like the atmosphere of the room where the bar is located. Service is usually attentive and pleasing. The frozen margaritas are pretty... More

Came on MLK day as I was off of work and my dad wanted to have lunch here. My brother and sister in law joined us. Had not eaten here in years, did not remember how roomy this place is. I believe this is the only restaurant in town that breads their own rellenos, so I had to order them.... More
