They have only been open at 50% capacity for 2 weeks and are doing great. We went on a Monday night during spring break. Service was very good, drinks good, food good. Seems like the menu is smaller (.to be expected right now). We waited...about 30 minutes for a table and by the time we ordered drinks, then food, it was another 45 minutes. The food was hot and served straight from someone out of the kitchen. We had chicken enchiladas and the pablano. Both said “spicy” but they didn’t have much heat- just enough for the average Joe. Every dining experience has been this way-restaurants don’t have the staff or space they’re used to. They are doing their very best and I appreciate them serving us. Just be patient and know it’s worth the wait ( almost everywhere does to-go orders so make that an option if you need to!) * Also, masks are still required, they take your temperature and ask you to sign the contact tracing form before you’re seated. All are state mandated.More

We have always loved this restaurant when coming to Santa Fe, and we particularly appreciated them during this Covid-19 time. You could go online and order, and know exactly where and when to get the pickup. It worked perfectly and the food was FANTASTIC!!!!

Really good take away meal on Christmas Day. I had the enchiladas and my gf had tacos. She liked hers, I loved mine. Spicy and delicious. I like the fact that we could order online and pick it up curbside. Super safe in covid times....Good food and would return.More

We ate dinner here because we stayed in the hotel but we're glad that we did. Just enough choices at fair prices.

Due to covid, they had a large tent set up outside where we dined. The food was good and the portions were hefty! topped off with a margarita... made the day! I Was looking forward to sitting inside and looking at the southwest decor. But...we also understood that our travels during covid would limit us in some way. Until next time... I recommend Del Charro.More

We went to this restaurant on Oct. 5th for dinner. As we stood outside waiting to be seated, the manager kept coming out and telling people to move away from the entrance and to remain six feet apart. After the third or forth time we...decided the rudeness of the manager made our mind up. We left and went to Dinner For Two. Great decision. We were promptly seated and had the best meal ever.More

We were given a recommendation to this restaurant by the local hotel staff, and we were VERY pleased. We had the Blue Corn Chicken Enchiladas, a side salad with Lemon Thyme dressing (AMAZING!) and the the Natillias for dessert. We were pleased with everything, and...the margaritas were very good as well. Moderately priced, and the entrees are shareable. The service was top notch. Even during COVID, they adapted really well with outdoor seating. This is a place we will definitely eat again!More

I struggled between giving this place a 3 or 4 stars. There is nothing wrong with Del Charro, but there's nothing amazing either. I felt like there was nothing special about Del Charro. The drink menu was extensive, but I was disappointed to see their...dependence on sweet and sour mix in nearly all of their margaritas. I got the fresh marg, which was not made with sweet and sour mix, and it was good. Nothing special. My partner got the Old Fashioned marg and a Mexican mule. Both were fun and different to try, but not amazing. We also ordered the boneless wings, which were very, very good, and the homemade chips, which were ok. The homemade blue cheese really made the chips pop, but on their own, they lacked. We shared the stuffed cheese burger. It was a decent burger, but fell apart on me. Coupled with the poor lighting, I had trouble distinguishing the cheese, meat, and bread to form one good bite. Because of the pandemic, we were seated in the parking lot. This was a strange experience for me, but not necessarily in a bad way. However, I do think this might have altered my experience. The prices were good. I'd definitely go back for those boneless wings, but everything else I can find similar or better elsewhere.More

My sister stopped here for our first meal snd we ordered the Poblano Pepper dinner but didn’t like it that much. I’m sure we could have ordered something else that we would have liked better. Alston ordered chips and Queso which was good. In Santa...Gee, every place charged for chips and hot sauce but in Ruidoso, it comes with your meal.More

The Del Charro saloon is adjacent to (and a part of) the Inn of the Governors Hotel and is a wonderful place to grab a bite or a drink (or indeed both!) while watching the world go by outside the window. We’ve stayed at the...hotel a couple of times before and this was our third visit to Santa Fe. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else now and one of the reasons is the Del Charro saloon. It’s convenient (being just a few steps from the lobby), is priced well and has a good selection of bar food options and some delicious margaritas (with the smoky pineapple one and the watermelon one being my favourites!) We arrived early too early to check in and so had some time to kill. We hadn’t had breakfast yet and so wanted to grab a bite to eat before walking around beautiful Santa Fe. We got a table & ordered a couple of drinks, and decided just to get some chicken tenders/fries to share (as were planning a nice dinner later). They came out fairly quickly & were hot & fresh, so we were happy with that. The following day we ordered some room service from the hotel (which comes from Del Charro too) and again, it was nice – we had a burger & some fish/potato chips (not fries). It’s ideal for convenience & snacky bar food, and they have some specials & regular deals (like Taco Tuesday etc) so it’s not too expensive. Bear in mind that you usually get a discount voucher if you’re staying at the hotel too, which makes it even better value!More

I don't believe there is a happy hour. However, when in Santa Fe every hour is happy.
