We enjoyed starting our tour of the "Margarita Trail" here at El Charro. They have a great green and red chili margarita and the service was friendly and fun. Appetizers looked great there and it was crowded.

Food and drinks were really good!!! And it is reasonably priced. I don't know how our waiter kept up with everything, but he did and with a smile, too. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to escape the pretentious, expensive scene downtown SF can be.

Very happening place. Frequented by locals. Great house margarita for a great price. Specials every night are fabulous for food. Go often and never disappointed. Close to the central plaza (a couple blocks away) but far enough to keep the big tourist crowds down and the prices down as well!

We stayed at The Inn of the Governors. The food at Del Charro is wonderful, huge portions and the best margueritas in town!

Ever need to find that good vibe, good food place that suits you and others' in a mix of palettes...at a price that does not break the bank? Santa Fe has that place! Found the Bean Burger (I had it without the bun) with avocado to be delicious with spice enough to create the taste; yet did not overwhelm. Add... More

Enjoyed the first night so much we returned the second night of our visit. Veggie plate and grilled cheese were perfect for a late night snack and the fish and chips on Friday night were great!

We love the patio for after work gatherings and in the winter they always have a fire going. Food in good and inexpensive with a limited but varied menu.

Althought located close to plaza, the prices are very reasonable. The choices on the menu are limited but sufficient. The setting is really nice, partly open. And the margarithas are a must.

Forget the fancy bars at La Fonda & other hotels--give me the cozy fireplace and courtyard of Del Charro any day. Nice place for a low key lunch or snack with the kids, too.
