Our first experience, dinner, was less than impressive. We understood this place had “one of the best burgers in Santa Fe” and ordered the Del Charro burger, medium rare. This was obviously NOT the burger talked about! It was overcooked and nothing special at all....Very disappointed. However our next 2 experiences raised the rating! Our 2nd evening we went to the bar after having dined elsewhere. The Appletini was one of the best I’ve had anywhere and the shaker was left for me, with about another 1/2 drink left, all for only $9! I then asked for a glass of the cream sherry served here as a welcome gift to hotel guests to bring back to our room and received a very generous pour. The 3rd experience was the complimentary cooked to order breakfast on our last morning. We split the 3-egg omelet with toast and bacon and it was PERFECT!!More

I had dinner and breakfast here, as I was staying in Inn of the Governors. The staff is friendly here but food is below average. For dinner I had tacos and I got my stomach upset. Sausages served at breakfast were dry. I can’t recommend...this place.More

Wonderful food. Good service. Bison burger was very well seasoned and tasted great. Potato salad was good. Pleasant atmosphere also. Would return.

Del Charro is a hidden gem. Though the neighborhood surrounding the restaurant was not necessarily ideal, the restaurant itself had a great vibe. The hostess was very welcoming, and the server was attentive. The food was tasty, and its presentation was appealing to the eye.

I just hung up the phone, and had the most RUDE Person hang up on me. I should have realized, by the tone of her voice, That she obviously, she hated her job and or her life. How unfortunate and she is answering the phones.............I work in the field of Customer Services, and I Will share my phone experince...More

Once we got seated, we loved it - not surprising that it took some persistence to get a seat at 5:30 PM on an August Saturday. Best Margaritas I've had in Santa Fe. Great tuna and enchiladas. Don't leave without ordering the chocolate mousse. We...will return.More

This is a small venue with good food and excellent margueritas which are served in a glass with an accompanying steel tumbler which holds more of the drink. Prices are very reasonable and menu is typical Southwestern fare. Highly recommend

Our family has eaten at Del Charro multiple times over the past two years, and the meals are always fresh and delicious! The wait staff is efficient and seating is comfortable. We highly recommend the house made black bean veggie burgers with fires, and the...nachos (we substituted tofu for the chicken and it was superb!) The margaritas, tea, and iced coffee were also highly enjoyed! We will be back!More

This is the worst restaurant in Santa Fe. I ordered a Green Chile burger with gorgonzola, medium rare. It came, eventually, burned and yet... cold. (Impressive). Also, by "gorgonzola" they mean "processed American" cheese. Service was terrible (sat without drinks for 15 minutes). Chicken salad...is gas station quality. Obviously, this place survives off of the people who realize that they don't want to wait for the Shed or other places on the Plaza. But do yourself a favor --- GO ANYWHERE ELSE.More

Stopped in for drinks while walking around Santa Fe, didn’t eat but the menu looked good. We enjoyed the Silver Coin margarita and the Margarita Caliente, and our server kept them coming! It was nice sitting by the fireplace in big comfy chairs even though...a fire wasn’t needed. Definitely recommend!More

Fish and chips was ok but that is what I get for ordering fish in northern New Mexico. The drinks were very good and we enjoyed the comfortable ambience. Certainly not a fancy Santa Fe foodie place but was great for what we were looking...for that night.More

We didn't realize when we entered from the street that this restaurant was part of the Inn of the Governors hotel. It was quiet at 3pm, but excellent service and great food: sandwiches and salads. I'm very picky about my iced tea, but it was...fresh brewed and perfect.More

one of the only few places open after 9pm in SantaFe. Recommended by the hotel folks. The food was excellent and so was the service. The drinks hit the spot after a 4 hours drive from Carlsbad area. It had a jovial atmosphere..

This restaurant is part of the Inn of the Governors, although the entrance is on the opposite side of Alameda St. from the hotel's lobby entrance (off Don Gaspar, not on Ortiz). I would definitely recommend this place for the drinks. They have an excellent...selection of tequilas, and a large list of different types of margaritas. I had a 'fresh' margarita with lime juice and agave nectar. It was perfectly mixed, and not too sweet. Just how I like it. I also had a snack of chips and salsa. The salsa was a bit disappointing, as I thought they overused the chipotles. The menu seems more 'American' with a few chiles, than anything southwestern. I'd come here again for the drinks, but maybe not for dinner.More

I don't believe there is a happy hour. However, when in Santa Fe every hour is happy.

Do the "Margarita Trail" they have in Santa Fe - its very fun. You get to visit lots of different restaurants while you are at it.
