We stopped in because of reviews by others and we were not disappointed. The order taker was friendly and helpful. There were 4 of us and we ordered up a mess of chicken, shredded beef and ground beef tacos. Starting off with fresh, warm chips and...both red and green Salsa, the meal had a great start. The tacos came out in short order. They were crisp and fresh. El Parasol is building their business on great food. The ambience is simple, clean and unpretentious. We all were very satisfied with the meal and would recommend it to anyone.More

I've always loved El Parasol. They have some of the best green chile in town with absolutely no sign of flour in it. The food is always fresh and really good, and so is the service, although it's a bit lacking at the other location...with one guy bordering on rude, and a lady who seems forever grouchyMore

Food was fantastic. Tacos and tamales were out if this workd good! We have sampled a few local restaurants but this is as good as it gets if you want casual local fare.

The food id excellent as I have had it before at their other location. However the use of styrofoam and other throw away packaging and utensils spoiled the experience.

I've eaten here twice, once for lunch and once for breakfast. Swanson's Mexican TV dinner has better Spanish rice than this place. The Chicken tacos barely had any chicken. Didn't finish the breakfast burrito, it was bland.

If you like affordable, tasty food served up by an awesome staff...you’ll love Parasol! Everything is handmade, fresh daily every day and served by polite and considerate staff! I highly recommend their bean burrito with extra green chili. Their chili is about the best I’ve...ever tasted and I’m a native of New Mexico. Chili that good should have a warning label since it’s highly addictive! Eat at your own risk. (Consider yourself forewarned!) Give them a try next time you’re on the south side of Santa Fe..., although they have a location on Cerrillos Road in Santa Fe and also one in Los Alamos and Pojoaque.More

Basically a good visit. It was nice to have a place to sit and eat. The other one located on Cerrillos was carry out only. We sampled a few items and shared between us. Basically halved everything to sample the most. Ordered the chicken taco,...G.Beef taco, shredded beef taco, 2 tamales (no sharing there) and green chile burger double meat with green chile. Chicken taco - good. Liked the guac. Shredded taco - liked the best. both of us. G.Beef taco - ok. same for both of us. Burger - really good. although would have been better if i had pulled those sweet pickles off. tamales - small but always good. Overall - good visit. Still not sure if its high on a revisit list or we'd try something different while up in Santa Fe.More

El Parasol South is one of three same-owned restaurants. (The downtown branch has no place to sit down, though.) This out-of-town facility is not that easy to find, but is very attractive, with an excellent patio and lots of wood and windows. The food is...reasonably priced and of high quality. One orders at the front and they bring the food in boxes or on paper plates. I had the frito pie, which is similar to a taco salad... large portion, and well seasoned. The views from outside and from inside are wonderful. Very recommendable if you are not looking for a china-and-silver experience!More

A lot of people know about El Parasol - Andrew Zimmern visited the one on Cerrillos Road and he loved the chicken tacos (who doesn't). The restaurant chain opened a new location on the south end of Santa Fe that is just off the freeway....It is a sit-down version and it holds the same quality as the other El Parasols with one distinct difference - this one has the best Re-Fried Beans anywhere except your mother's kitchen. The breakfast burrito is great and the green chile is always flavorful and hot (just the way God intended). Make it a point to have lunch or breakfast at El Parasol - you will not be disappointed.More

Don't miss any El Parasol location, but if you want to sit down in Santa Fe, you have to go to the on on Dinosaur Trail. We had Chicken Tacos and Green Chili Stew. Both were superb. Okay, it is not a tourist trap and...honestly, we live in Santa Fe and thus miss that categorization. This is honest New Mexico food with honest fair prices. Exploring the full menu is next on our list, if we could ever stop eating the tacos.More
