Dinner for two on a Thursday night. Restaurant was not crowded. We had the filet and the prime rib, both wonderful with enjoyable sides. Server was quite good. This restaurant is very close to the State Capitol, which was a slight drawback, as there was a younger man with an ID badge at a nearby table, who was loud, on... More

We very much appreciate the kind words. Sometime the NM legislative session can take unsuspecting patrons by surprise, but not to fret it ends on March 17th. More

This is one of Santa Fe's institutions - being that it's next door to the NM State Capitol Building and owned by the Santa Fe Godfather - but it really isn't that good. In fact, my personal experience has been about 50/50. And when a place like this is bad, it makes me angry because they have no excuse. Tonight... More

I would like to commend you for these comments. There are many legitimate concerns here that I have taken to heart. We pride ourselves offering consistent service and food to all that walk through our doors, regardless of any kind of status. I think it's why we've built such a strong local following. The fact that you have not felt... More

Made a reservation for Valentine's Day several weeks in advance. I was assured by the woman who took my reservation that while the restaurant was busy that night I would have a small booth in the corner of the restaurant. However when we arrived we were told our table was downstairs. I asked if that were a "good thing" but... More

We had a great meal at a reasonable price. Prime rib was cooked to perfection, the au jus was especially nice, The chocolate cup was outstanding. I was expecting slow service, but was very pleasantly surprised.

Several at our table this time had beef dishes....no surprise. One prime rib eater loved his while the other declared his "too salty." Probably because they brine the meet as indicated in the menu. I broke out of the beef-eaters mold, however, having the Duck Leg Cassoulet. Not as good as that in southern France, but a damn good facsimile!... More

Attended a meeting here yesterday that included a lunch meal. The service is great and the menu choices were many. The prime rib sandwich is famous but I opted for carne adovado which was as good as any I've had.

Very quit in the off season in Santa fe. Steak house but has many other options. Was around the corner from our hotel and was perfect on a cold night after a long day of travel. We opted for a burger and prime rib. Burger was perfect as was the spicy bloody Mary. Relaxed attentive service too

I ordered the prime rib open face sandwich. It arrived on a less than appetizing brioche half bun which had some soggy mushrooms and melted cheese. However, the prime rib looked like a slice of over cooked ham only browner. I had ordered medium rare. I cut into it and it was medium well to medium. I asked for the... More

After just having driven for several hours to reach our destination, Santa Fe, we wanted something easy, close to our lodging, with decent food. Our innkeeper recommended Rio Chama. Easy parking in the back is a real plus in Santa Fe, and we could tell that it was very busy on this night before Christmas Eve. The hostess made us... More

I was in town visiting and was invited with a group of people. The atmosphere is very nice. The service was attentive and very friendly. The fondue was incredible! And dinner was spectacular. Everything...everything was perfect!
