Maria's was our favorite dining experience while in Santa Fe. The food is AMAZING! The flour tortillas are hand made to order, super fresh and tasty. The Posole is incredible as are the tamales. They have over 200 margaritas on their menu. You have know your tequilas, but their is something for everyone. If you visit Santa Fe and do... More

Maria's has always been one of my favorite restaurants in Santa Fe. It's definitely more of a locals spot. The margarita list is extensive and all of the food is wonderful. All the best NM dishes are on the menu.

I went to Maria's twice - once for breakfast and once for lunch - but I never had what they are known for: margarita's. It's a shame since I'm picky when it comes to margaritas. People say that the food is okay, but that the margaritas make them great. Even without an alcoholic buzz though, I thought the food was... More

We loved our lunch here. Definitely try the combination plate that has a little of everything on it. It was wonderful and there was plenty to share. The guacamole is excellent also. This place is known for having 100's of margaritas, but the house margarita is great and reasonable. I'm sure the others are good, just didn't try them. Definitely... More

The hotel suggested this restaurant for good New Mexican food and explained that on Sundays none of the restaurants on the square are open. The hotel driver dropped us off and while the restaurant was packed we had only a couple of minutes to wait before being seated. The margarita menu was overwhelming with so many to choice from. The... More

This was our second trip to Maria's (last time was several years ago). It's outside the historical area, so at least you're not paying ridiculous tourist prices. I like that it's a Santa Fe tradition and you can tell its been added onto over the years. We love NM food, but this place didn't stand out as great. I had... More

We asked the locals where they eat and they told us to ho to Maria's. We could not get in until 8:30 but it was worth the wait! The portions are huge but very good. Gotta try one if the margaritas as they are good, but strong. The margarita menu has over 100 choices to choose from--a bit overwhelming to... More

Obviously from some of the reviews a restaurant can't please everyone. However, Maria's remains a good place to eat. Are there other great restaurants in Santa Fe? Absolutely! Maria's has good, tasty food and great service. However, don't expect great margaritas. They're pricey and small! No endless bowls of chips but the serving sizes are abundant. Great for large groups... More

For years this was one of Santa Fe's great New Mexican restaurants then it was acquired by Mr. Petters and everything changed. The famous margarita's are no longer memorable, the food has changed drastically, and not for the better. The staff is still great, the building authentic, unfortunately there is much, much better Mexican food in Santa Fe then Maria's.
