We had been told by friends not to miss Mucho Gusto. We enjoyed it so much that we returned for another dinner the same week. The staff was most accommodating and the food was wonderful. We thought this was a truly great value--very reasonable.

We came to dine at Mucho Gusto, had some difficulty in finding the restaurant as it is in the little yeard off the road. The place was almost empty, nice and clean. We were four, tried four different dishes and each of them was wonderful. The dishes were mildly hot - that is definitely a plus for a european traveller... More

Thank you for your visit! Some people have the misconception that all Mexican is or has to be spicy. Untrue is that. We have dishes that are flavorful without all the spice. More

We had an early dinner and so it was 4:30 with no cars in front when we pulled up. And it's tucked away off the beaten path where you won't see it quite so easily. But we are glad we went in. We ordered a cup of the chicken tortilla soup. Awesome. Best ever. We asked for the recipe because... More

Thank you for your visit! I'm glad you enjoyed your experience! Sorry we can't give you the mole recipe, but as you experienced at first "taste", it's for a reason. More

But, coming from Arizona there are many Mexican restaurants as good. It lost points with me when we asked for salsa with our meal and they charged for it! A Mexican restaurant charging for salsa? Food was good and if you want to try it, by all means.

Thank you for your visit! I know many places in other states give free chips and salsa, but it is not the custom in Santa Fe. Also our salsas are made fresh never out of a can which is more costly for us. More

Our host at our B&B recommended this restaurant and we are so glad that she did. It is behind some shops and a little hidden away. The night we were there, it was filled with mostly locals. The hostess was very friendly. She filled us in on the specials and brought water. We ordered the enchiladas which came open faced... More

Thank you for your visit! I'm glad you enjoyed the enchiladas. Flat as opposed to rolled is the traditional way serving enchiladas. More

Locals were in the location, which is always a good sign, and filled up while we were there. Tried recommended trout dish, with fresh veggies, only way this can be better is when you catch, then cook by the stream. Local beers available too.

We'll definitely eat here again on future trips. It was just what we needed after missing NM cuisine for so long. We didn't go for the bomb, but the dishes we did try were fantastic.

My wife and I had lunch at Mucho Gusto and had different experiences. My pork tacos were delicious, and the accompanying beans and rice and salsa were excellent. Her veggie and tofu fajitas, on the other hand, were flavorless and there was very little tofu. So the rating for the two of us has to be average, although that does... More

We both had flautas, I had the chicken version, which were good. However, we had to pay for chips and salas, really? And we didn't get any sopas, which normally come with the meal. Plus, after dinner I got an upset stomach, which tells me a lot. We won't be going back.
