We eat at Shohko at least every other week. We used to eat at some of the others but have settled on Shohko because it is always fresh and delicious. They usually have Blue Fin Toro if you phone ahead and reserve. A generous portion is served with a topknot of some delicious garnish on a small bonus piece. The... More

First of all, I would recommend a reservation, even though it's not always busy. We got the sashimi plate, and it was DELICIOUS! We really wanted to try something different. The tempura was good also. For dessert, we got the black bean cake and plum wine ice cream: YUM!

Fantastic meal at Shohko Café. Sushi was incredibly fresh and flavorful, but the tuna sashimi was the best I've had since I lived in the bay area. Service was great - server achieved that perfect balance of being available but unobtrusive. The biggest surprise of the night, though, was the dessert. As a big fan of chocolate I am very... More

Delicious but expensive. One place to get sushi in Santa Fe. Food is good, sake great, but again it's pricy.

Ill start with the fact that the food is EXCELLENT. Truly delicious. Because of this, I keep going back. The environment is also nice. The wait staff typically seems overwhelmed or inattentive. You will sit down and feel fairly neglected at times, as you see them serve other tables seated around you and not make it a point to serve... More

We have no high expectation for Japanese food in Santa Fe, when we read all these good reviews about Shohko we decided to give it a try. Rolls and fish were fresh, rice can be improved a little bit. Food Presentation was good, something different in Santa Fe.

My son (in his twenties) and I both followed the restaurant policy and arrived scentless (no perfume or cologne). I even washed our clothing in an unscented laundry product. We were ushered into an empty back room while the couple in front of us. reeking of scented products. was whisked into the main dining area. Later, we noted that only... More

What a delight to find such fresh and tasty sushi grade fish in the middle of the Southwestern Desert! Although the miso soup is not something I would recommend, the sushi, offering wonderful flavor balance, and the sashimi are delectable, as are the various salads. The sake list is extensive--try a flight, if you're not sure what you like or... More

Busy place on a Wednesday evening, but luckily we were seated promptly. We ordered a sushi roll each plus ramen and tempura; all were fine. Tried a sake flight sampler but had to return same for fresh glasses. Excellent sake menu and fair prices. Friendly service.

If not a sushi lover and not sure what to order for dinner try the chicken teriyaki bento dinner. This option allows you a little bit of soup, salad, tempura, sushi, and teriyaki. Pair this with chardonnay and finish with the tempura fried ice cream or ginger ice cream for a celebration.
