Food was good but nothing special. Nice to eat outside but again just an ordinary location. One perk, free parking.

We asked around town where to get a great burger and Santa Fe Bite was the first place recommended. My wife had the green chili burger and I had the cheese burger with mushrooms...both where fantastic, big, juicy, and a great value! If you are...More

The burgers here are delicious. Very fresh, juicy meat and fresh buns. The homemade potato chips are fantastic. My 7 year old daughter got the enchiladas off the kids menu and I would not recommend she get that next time. No points off, however, because...More

We wanted breakfast before we left Santa Fe and the Bite was convenient. They only serve breakfast on the weekend. There weren't many customers so the service was quick and efficient. We had the mainstream egg breakfast, so it wasn't a major challenge for the...More

My wife and I live is Santa Fe and frequented this restaurant when it was a small 'dive' on the old highway to Las Vegas New Mexico. Then it was a simple family owned hamburger place and it was FANTASTIC. Inexpensive and a great value....More

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We use this information to try to be better at what we do. Constructive criticism is always helpful.

They being the locals steered us to the best green chili cheeseburgers I have had in New Mexico. The vanilla shake was good and homemade chips special.

Do you know who first opened the original Bobcat Bite Restaurant out on the old last Vagas highway? And how long did she run it?

Sorry, I thought I was replying to a reviewer's post. Didn't know how this thing worked. I'd like to remove the question but can't.

This was my experience also and I haven't been back since. Is there a way to request to have the owner cook my hamburger? If there is I would definitely go back again with my friends.

Under the right circumstances, perhaps. Like during a slow time and when not preoccupied by a compelling administrative chore JE

Description
The Famous Green Chile Cheeseburgers are back! John and Bonnie Eckre, formerly of Bobcat Bite, are taking their food to the next level at the new Santa Fe Bite located inside Garrett's Desert Inn on Old Santa Fe Trail. In addition to their savory Green Chile Cheeseburgers, Santa Fe Bite features fresh tacos, fish and chips, sandwiches, a choice of French or sweet potato fries and a little something they like to call 'The Big Bite' that comes with a side of buttery garlic bread. Creamy milkshakes and homemade lemonade are just some of the sweet treats popping up on their new menu. Also, we are now serving beer and wine. Santa Fe Bite opens at 8am Saturday and Sunday which means early birds can sample tasty Breakfast menu offerings like hot cornmeal pancakes with maple syrup, brioche French toast with maple caramel sauce and house-made biscuits with Mom's gravy. Spend a leisurely Sunday outside at Santa Fe Bite. The new Brunch menu includes eggs benedict, Steak & Eggs and Huevos Rancheros.
