It was only me and sat at the bar. It was a very busy night, tables outside full and inside was bustling with a line waiting. HINT: If it's a busy night and it's only you or someone else, ask for a seat at the bar. I have been eating there when I come to Santa Fe when it was... More

The Santa Fe Bite "green-chili burger" is THE burger to enjoy while in The Land of Enchantment. Whether out on the deck, enjoying the sights, or inside in the spacious restaurant you'll be welcomed by the tantalizing smell of fabulous burgers being served around you. The pangs of hunger grow, the little voice in the back of your head telling... More

So after years go coming to Santa Fe, finally got to the "new" "Bobcat Bite" -- aka The Santa Fe Bite in downtown Santa Fe. I'll keep this short and sweet -- came here for the hamburger and it was everything I was hoping for. The spicy green chiles (and these did have a bit of heat!) melded perfectly with... More

Of course the burgers are worth whatever time and distance you travel. Home fries are the best! If your not a burger person, try the pork chops or the steak sandwich! I've never been disappointed or left hungry!!

Apparently "awarded the Best Burget in the USA". It was good not amazingly special. Nice light and bright ambience and good buzz in the place. Prices good. Well located for lunch when exploring the town. If I was in SFE and wanted a burger I would go back. Keep it up.

A challenger for USA's best burgers, and they're really good...and big (6-16 ounce patty choices) w/many topping options, from green chile, sauteed mushrooms, cheeses, etc....and sides of fries, onion rings, even baked potatoes! Not cheap (6 oz. = $9.25), but among Santa Fe's best. Parking in motel lot is free (while dining only), which is nice...

Santa Fe Bite has a full menu---but we've never had anything but the cheeseburger! It's amazing! We have to make this one of our first stops when we pull into santa fe! If you like cheeseburgers--really amazing cheeseburgers and you like New Mexico green chiles--then don't miss this one. We saw other people eating Posole, steaks, breakfast, fried chicken and... We tried this place based on other reviews and we're pleased in every way. The 10 oz green chile cheeseburger was plenty for the two of us to share. The chile was tasty with good heat, and the burger was not only cooked perfectly but seasoned superbly, totally complementing the chile (I never realized before that many burgers are themselves... I've eaten a lot of green chile cheeseburgers in New Mexico, and this place serves the best. The onion rings are excellent too. I haven't tried everything on the menu, but all the food I've had was top quality. Very good service too. Good location.

My husband and I ate here based on reviews- and once again we weren't disappointed. I had a 10oz green chile and bacon cheeseburger, my husband had pork chops. You can't go wrong with a cold beer and a gigantic burger! It's located inside a motel so that was kinda confusing, but worth the stop.

The Famous Green Chile Cheeseburgers are back! John and Bonnie Eckre, formerly of Bobcat Bite, are taking their food to the next level at the new Santa Fe Bite located inside Garrett's Desert Inn on Old Santa Fe Trail. In addition to their savory Green Chile Cheeseburgers, Santa Fe Bite features fresh tacos, fish and chips, sandwiches, a choice of French or sweet potato fries and a little something they like to call 'The Big Bite' that comes with a side of buttery garlic bread. Creamy milkshakes and homemade lemonade are just some of the sweet treats popping up on their new menu. Also, we are now serving beer and wine. Santa Fe Bite opens at 8am Saturday and Sunday which means early birds can sample tasty Breakfast menu offerings like hot cornmeal pancakes with maple syrup, brioche French toast with maple caramel sauce and house-made biscuits with Mom's gravy. Spend a leisurely Sunday outside at Santa Fe Bite. The new Brunch menu includes eggs benedict, Steak & Eggs and Huevos Rancheros.
