This is our favorite outdoor seating restaurant in Santa Fe. Besides the large and great outdoor seating the food is to die for delicious! We recently had green chile cheese burgers and the street tacos. No one was disappointed! And no one was hungry for the rest of the day. It is a little bit of a walk off the... More

Ranked as one of the best places for Green Chile Cheeseburgers in Santa Fe we had to try it out and weren't disappointed. Nice quality meat and good tasting Chile. We had a nice patio table and great service.

My wife and I visited this place at lunchtime today having arrived in Santa Fe on our Route 66 trip. This place is hyped and the Chile Cheeseburger has been voted 5th best in the USA, so I HAD to try one! My wife ordered a regular burger with cheese and grilled onions and we ordered a Stella Artois and... More

Split the 10 oz green chili cheeseburger with an order of the green chili home fries...both were delicious! Paired with local beer and good service - would highly recommend.

For those of us who missed eating at the fabled Bobcat Bite, despair no longer! The Santa Fe Bite serves the original Bobcat Bite green chili cheeseburger. The same green chili cheese burger that has been listed by many as one of the Top Ten Burgers in America. Be aware that the standard burger is ten ounces of fresh grown... More

I've been remiss in reviewing this place, maybe because we take it for granted. My husband and I have been going there ever since it opened in downtown Santa Fe, and before that we were frequent customers when it was the Bobcat Bite out on the Old Las Vegas Highway. I don't think we've ever had a bad burger there.... More

This locally owned and loved diner used to be further out of town, but its relocation into downtown makes it available to a much wider clientele. Known for the best burgers in town, everything fresh and made locally, with a Route 66 classic car decor. Free parking in the motel lot, which is a real advantage once you're there. Great... More

This family deserved this infusion of popularity and positive from the ashes of the old Bob Cat Bite and this is one of your Santa Fe Lunch Must Dos. Patio is Amazing and the service and get ready to literally take a bite into New Mexico's Best Hamburgers and other varieties however you like it. Pure Happiness. Go and Enjoy.

Great place for lunch as hamburgers are excellent. Free parking in motor inn parking lot. Usually a line waiting to get in, but no problem at 1:45.

Had lunch at the Santa Fe Bite...truly one of the best burgers I have ever had. Great mixture of meat in the burgers makes them tasty and juicy. Best of all the establishment knows how to cook them the way you want...without overcooking them. Service was excellent. We sat on their spacious outside patio and enjoyed our meal. If you... More

Description
The Famous Green Chile Cheeseburgers are back! John and Bonnie Eckre, formerly of Bobcat Bite, are taking their food to the next level at the new Santa Fe Bite located inside Garrett's Desert Inn on Old Santa Fe Trail. In addition to their savory Green Chile Cheeseburgers, Santa Fe Bite features fresh tacos, fish and chips, sandwiches, a choice of French or sweet potato fries and a little something they like to call 'The Big Bite' that comes with a side of buttery garlic bread. Creamy milkshakes and homemade lemonade are just some of the sweet treats popping up on their new menu. Also, we are now serving beer and wine. Santa Fe Bite opens at 8am Saturday and Sunday which means early birds can sample tasty Breakfast menu offerings like hot cornmeal pancakes with maple syrup, brioche French toast with maple caramel sauce and house-made biscuits with Mom's gravy. Spend a leisurely Sunday outside at Santa Fe Bite. The new Brunch menu includes eggs benedict, Steak & Eggs and Huevos Rancheros.
