I had heard about the burgers and couldn't wait to try one! It was fabulous and huge! The burger was cooked well and the green chilis on top were wonderful. I was impressed with the food, the service, and the prices were decent too. Their German chocolate cake was great for breakfast the next morning as well.

Read the reviews and had to try it. Glad I did! The green chili burger is one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. Talked a bit to one of the owners and she is a very classy person who cares about quality.

Folks, I was inspired to write this review after I discovered my own personal all-time favorite burger joint! Located in the exotic, high desert city of Santa Fe, NM you will want to go to the legendary Santa Fe Bite! I live here and now I'm a regular. Don't let the location, in the funky mid-century Garrett's Desert Inn (centrally... More

Best green chile cheese burger I've ever had, anywhere in New Mexico. We stopped here after a long day of skiing and it could not have been a more perfect way to end the day.

We had to wait a couple of minutes to be seated, but the staff was great. They saw my son looking at their dinosaurs and brought him a toy to play with. The food was great, but the prices were pretty steep for a couple of burgers and a kids meal.

Looking for the best Green Chile Cheeseburger, we were told that this was the place. While the food was OK, it was nothing special and did not compare to other restaurants in Santa Fe or El Paso. We parked in the adjacent parking lot which takes you through a musty hotel to get to the restaurant. Service and food were... More

A really great find just off of the Plaza in Santa Fe. A nostalgic diner that serves the best burgers that we have had in the Santa Fe area.

We went with a group last week to sf bite, hadn't been in a while. I'd almost forgotten how good the green chile cheeseburger and homemade potato chips are! I asked for the burger cut in half because they're so big and took the rest home. The only negative is uncomfortable seating. We really appreciate the free parking.

Closer to town.... Now within walking of most hotels and venues near The Plaza.... The Bite now has more space to serve their great food. I'll only caution.... Sometimes "Size" is NOT a god thing. Service Personnel may not be completely used to their expanded real-estate yet, and sound has a lot more time to reverberate and resound. Additional Note:...You... More

The atmosphere is cool but the burgers are great! I tried several burger establishments and found this one to be the best. Sitting at the bar was also fun.

Description
The Famous Green Chile Cheeseburgers are back! John and Bonnie Eckre, formerly of Bobcat Bite, are taking their food to the next level at the new Santa Fe Bite located inside Garrett's Desert Inn on Old Santa Fe Trail. In addition to their savory Green Chile Cheeseburgers, Santa Fe Bite features fresh tacos, fish and chips, sandwiches, a choice of French or sweet potato fries and a little something they like to call 'The Big Bite' that comes with a side of buttery garlic bread. Creamy milkshakes and homemade lemonade are just some of the sweet treats popping up on their new menu. Also, we are now serving beer and wine. Santa Fe Bite opens at 8am Saturday and Sunday which means early birds can sample tasty Breakfast menu offerings like hot cornmeal pancakes with maple syrup, brioche French toast with maple caramel sauce and house-made biscuits with Mom's gravy. Spend a leisurely Sunday outside at Santa Fe Bite. The new Brunch menu includes eggs benedict, Steak & Eggs and Huevos Rancheros.
