This is our second visit and we were not disappointed. We were welcomed and seated at a nice outdoor table. The complimentary glass of Gruet was a nice touch. The entire experience was five star: the food, the service and the atmosphere. Our entrees of...Sea Bass and Short Ribs were exceptional and the highlight for me was the Tomato and Basil Bisque with Lobster appetizer. Prices are what one would expect at a first class restaurant but one can pick among several excellent bottles of wine without breaking the bank. A great venue for a special occasion.More

We had heard from many that this was "the best restaurant in Santa Fe, and possibly all of New Mexico", so we had very high, possibly unrealistic expectations. The decor is beautiful. The service is very good. Some of the courses were very unique. We...enjoyed ourselves. Our expectations were met, but they were not exceeded. We are glad we dined here, but we found other restaurants in Santa Fe to be more unique and trend-setting than Geronimo.More

We were very happy to get a reservation at the last minute. I had high expectations and the fall was painful. The atmosphere and service was nice but nothing special . We've been served sparkling wine at the beginning ( we did not ask for...it) and it was not complementary . Bread was not good at all ,and my sea bass ( greatly acclaimed) was tasteless on every level. If I have to ask for lemon and salt in upscale restaurant in order to make dish remotely edible , that means there something wrong . You go to the expensive, famous restaurant to have an experience and it did not happen in Geronimo. My husband's famous elk tenderloin was slightly better , but not better than decent steak dinner. Granted, fish and meat were moist and soft with big potential there but no flavor, especially fish. The most impressive was dessert, apple created with chocolate , cream and apple filling. I would not recommend this restaurant. It is overrated on every level .More

The restaurant is lovely and offers both inside and outside seating. One of our group had significant food restrictions and our server Cheyanne was helpful in navigating the menu for her. Two of us each ordered an entrée and shared. One served as an appetizer...and the other the main course. Although there is a split fee to do this it was the best way to enjoy these individually. The dishes split were the Venison and the Lobster both perfectly prepared. Truth be told the portions were ample and we could have split one or the other, but just couldn't resist experiencing both. Reservations are not easy to get so plan ahead!More

We’ve visited some fine restaurants over the years; this one rates right at the very top of our list. The food, service and ambiance are all first-rate. I had the vegetarian price fixe and my wife had the lobster tails after a Caesar’s starter. All...dishes were excellent. The spacing between customers is perfect with elegant leather booths for all in a beautiful contemporary interior. The wine list is extensive and varied with choices for any palate. Do yourself a favor if you can get in, go and enjoy a sumptuous meal and experience on Canyon Road in Santa Fe!More

We were fortunate to experience a fantastic dinner while visiting Santa Fe for the Santa Fe Opera. Spending an evening being fussed over by Geronimo's professional staff is a treat. They welcomed us with a toast of Gruet sparking wine. Highlights included our entrees, mesquite...grilled lobster served over angel hair pasta with edamame and a creamy garlic chile sauce, and sous-vide short ribs with mild mushrooms and Italian truffles. Superb! Dessert elevated the experience even more with "Apple," roasted apples and white chocolate mousse formed into a white chocolate coated "apple" and served with cognac ice cream and butterscotch sauce. Geronimo has an intimate feel because it has a series of rooms that each accommodate a few tables. Its simple sophistication of white tablecloths and creamy walls and draperies calm the noise. The art on the walls is soothing, and includes several paintings of horses. Looking forward to our next opportunity to visit Geronimo.More

Excellent restaurant located in a 1756 Adobe home on Canyon Road. It is easy to see what this is a highly recommended restaurant in Santa Fe. We had the Lobster Tails and Elk Tenderloin, which are menu mainstays. Both entrees were wonderful. Nice wine list....Service was superb.More

Quality food & first class service has never disappointed in 20+yrs I’ve dined here. Elk Tenderloin remains a signature item for good reason, I strayed to veal short ribs that were fabulous. Atmosphere is what you make it. Been with husband & shared romantic memories....This trip with 3 girlfriends & made friends with single gals at next table. Remains my favorite restaurant in SF.More

There are few times in my life where I have felt like I have found absolute perfection, and this meal was one of those times. You start your meal with a bread bowl and while eating the 3 different types of bread we almost had...tears in our eyes. Each were unique and bursting with layers of flavor. Then we had a pear salad and the Cesar, both were fresh and delicious. I had the elk tenderloin and my hubs had the beef tenderloin. These were in the top 3 steaks we have ever had. We finished the meal with the flourless German chocolate cake. Perfection. This place takes you on a journey of eating pleasure, something to be savored.More

We've eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. The food is just out of this world as is the service. It's a beautiful restaurant and the perfect place to celebrate anything at all. Recently we dined here to celebrate our anniversary and were...given a lovely table in the back room with complimentary champagne. The food is indescribably delicious - such marvelous combinations of sauces and herbs. If I lived here I would eat here as often as possible!More

I love it here. It is the perfect place in Santa Fe to sit back and enjoy a quiet grown up night out. It’s very civil here, seems whisper quiet, and the staff is beyond accommodating to make the night perfect. The kitchen is great,...notably not accommodating to even he slightest change is ‘how the chef intended" but doesn’t make it bad. Every dish, cooked and presented perfectly. Fair wine list price wise and extensive in choices. Support these places , we need to keep them there for us.More

Wonderful experience and food! We’ll worth the cost in our opinion. My partner had the elk and it was so tender and delicious. I went for the vegetarian tasting with the wine pairing. I’m not even vegetarian, and that was absolutely the right choice! Delicious!...Great place for a fancy date night out in Santa Fe! We really enjoyed sitting out on the front porch area, eating, and enjoying the atmosphere.More

The asian pear salad was good but the fried blue cheese wedges that came with it were awesome. The mushroom and sherry bisque had a great flavor but was overly thick, gloppy. The sea bass was cooked to perfection but the asian noodles in broth...were totally devoid of flavor. The elk and accompaniments were excellent. Cocktails and wines were quite nice, and quite expensive. The toffee creme brulee tasted like butterscotch pudding and the pear sorbet accompanying it was not a good pairing. Service was good, not great. Some courses rushed, and necessary silverware not delivered for several minutes after the arrival of the food. Overall, good but not great -- and certainly not worth $300+ for 2 for dinner.More

We saved the best for last during our trip across Arizona and New Mexico, and it most definitely didn't disappoint. The beef short rib was so tender you really didn't need a knife, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Our server, Joseph, was the best, coming...along with a few "extras" thrown in for free from start to finish. You definitely want to make a reservation well in advance. We didn't until about a week before and almost didn't get in, but we saw an opening in the bar and jumped on it (the bar is very cozy just three tables in it, plus 4-5 counter seats).More

Find dining in Santa Fe. Both of our dishes were excellently prepared and delicious. Proper sized portions that are not too big and not too small. Excellent desserts: Get the Apple.
