We were staying at the Drury Plaza and wanted a Mexican spot nearby where we could easily find a parking space. The valet did not steer us wrong. I was mid-afternoon so we only waited a few minutes....but the place was packed out and as...More

Tomasita's has been in santa fe for years but it may have slipped in the past few. Last year my husband and I both had the two worst steaks ever----I know, who orders steak in a mexican food restaurant. However, we were willing to give...More

The food is adequate but overrated compared to other New Mexican styled restaurants in town. It's location makes it a good place for tourists to find, close to the train station. The owners are going to have to invest in upgrading the dinner and glassware...More

Tomasita's offers good quality traditional Mexican fare with all the red and green chili heat you can handle. Start with a frozen swirl cocktail (frozen margarita swirled with frozen red sangria) and a chili relleño entré loaded with cheeses. You'll want an extra serving of...More

I try and get to Tomasita's every time we travel to Santa Fe. I love the enchiladas - go Christmas style (green and red chile) if you dare! It's a popular place so I recommend going a little earlier for lunch or dinner to beat...More

This is the second time I have eaten at Tomasita's. The first time was on a recommendation from a friend who grew up in Santa Fe. We were not disappointed either time. I have to eat dairy free and that can be challenging with Mexican...More

No reservations accepted here and with labor day, it was almost a hour to be seated. Service was pretty good. Margaritas were terrible (made with sweet and sour? ). The food was average, and pretty disappointing.

We try to eat here at least once every time we make it to Santa Fe. It has tourist and locals alike which is usually a good thing. I have tried several different items on the menu and liked all of them plus they make...More

Tomasitas is usually the first place we go when we hit town for blue corn flat cheese enchiladas with roasted green chili, quacamole, and sopapillas. Yum, my mouth is watering now. Of course they have much more on the menu. They have an extensive bar...More

Good drinks, good New Mexican food, but very large and very busy. Arrive early for whatever meal if you don't want to be in the lobby (or outside) waiting for a lengthy period of time. This is a regular stop for us when in Santa...More

Hi. We do not serve Carne Asada. We have a New Mexican Steak plate which has a sirloin along with an enchilada and relleno. Our complete menu is on our web site.

I have been told that they don't take reservations. HOWEVER, when I have called well ahead of time and explained what we need, they have promised "To do their best" and have gotten us in promptly. Call soon.

Description
Tomasita's restaurant is a Santa Fe tradition serving classic Northern New Mexican cuisine. Stop by today for an unforgettable meal! Locally owned and operated in Santa Fe, NM, we take great pride in our high quality food, friendly and fast service, and of course our famous margaritas! Locals have consistently voted us as the premier restaurant for Best Red Chile, Best Green Chile, Best Margaritas, and Best New Mexican Restaurant! Our chiles are out of this world and you won't regret ordering either - or both! Tomasita's is a distinctly Northern New Mexican restaurant. Our recipes have been handed down for generation and serve as a reminder of the melding of cultures that together once depended on the corn, chile, beans, and fruit of the area. Since 1974, the Maryol/Gundrey family has maintained a commitment to the recipes and ingredients of New Mexico. Join us for lunch, dinner, or happy hour and try our traditional recipes with amazing flavor. Don't forget to top off your meal with a homemade dessert - sopapillas anyone
