Was sorely disappointed when we ate at Il Piatto, portion sizes were small, food wasn't the best, service was poor and nobody seemed to know anything about the wine list. The worst restaurant we visited during our time in Santa Fe.

We had not heard of this restaurant before we visited Santa Fe. Now we shout its name to all who will listen.. You cannot go wrong. Scrumptious dishes served in generous helpings. Top notch service!

We visited Il Piatto for happy hour and a light dinner. Wines by the glass and appetizers were half price. Small entree portions were also available during the 4-6 Happy Hour. Our server was great as we had arrived about 10 minutes before the end of Happy Hour and she wanted us to be able to take advantage of the... More

We regularly dine at Il Piatto as we enjoy the food and wine. The food was sadly average this last trip. Perhaps this was due to the Wine and Chile Festival. The service was sporadic. Had to request bread, a refill on wine and two requests for the check.

We read about the chef here in Edible magazine and decided to celebrate my wife's birthday there. It turned out to be a great decision. The atmosphere was nice, but not pretensious, service was good, the food was simple but amazingly good! The salmon carpaiccio and the minestrone were both great starters. The duck ragu and bologenese were great (almost... More

My friends & I had dinner here and this was the least rewarding meal in a week of trying the city's local cuisine. I ordered 2 appetizers: pumpkin ravioli with brown butter sauce which was delicious but $15.00 for 4 small ravioli seemed overpriced, and clams casino which was tasteless because it consisted of 5 of the smallest clams I've... One of the best happy hours in town. Good small plates and great prices on wines. Friendly, efficient service with a pleasant ambiance. Try it!

October, 7 pm. We are seated, await the server and menus. We Oder a bottle of wine, beet salad for me, and pumpkin ravioli. Server is very abrupt, our salads arrive, the wine has not. I eat half the salad, she brings the wine, after I touch the wine glass. I ask for bread, "It's in the oven." It arrives... More

Too Expensive and Food So-So - A Tourist Trap? The food was only alright, the service was weird and invasive, they gave you tap water unless you paid for another drink, and our food was three times as expensive as Santa Fe Bar and Grill. Santa Fe Bar and Grill is still a great favorite. Santa Fe Bar and Grill... More
