Take your time making your choice. You can't go wrong, but pick something you've never tried! Red chili is among my favorite!

This is the absolute best chocolate I've ever had! Whether the drink or the lovely candies, you can't go wrong. The workers are always friendly and helpful with samples. It might be your first time, but it won't be your last. So rich that one candy is plenty.

Located in a great little historic building, Kakawa features incredible elixirs, some based on ancient Mexican recipes, and others with their own unique twist. These elixirs are best sipped with a side of water, so that you can savor the complex flavors. Kakawa also has a wide selection of chocolate candy, some filled with flavors such as caramel, chocolate and... More

After a very disappointing lunch elsewhere, we decided to save the day by dessert at Kakawa. The place has every type of both homey and exotic chocolate concoction you can imagine. We shared a decadent bitter chocolate brownie topped with a coffee ice cream that contained espresso, it was delicous and not cloyingly sweet. Sure to be a favorite every... More

Stopped in during a visit to Santa Fe. Like a trip to another time and place. Amazing customer service - thanks to everyone, especially Julayne. Tastes if everything insures no disappointments. Left with a mango chili sorbet - yummy!! We will be back!

The hot chocolate here is amazing and the hand-made chocolate treats are unique and well worth trying. It's a small place, but I've been 3-4 times in the past year or so and it never felt crowded.

The drinking chocolate here is king. I like bitter chocolate and this place does some unusual concoctions that I never thought was possible. If you have a sweet tooth then you'll be equally impressed with the handmade chocolates which again are unusual and unique and are worth savouring. The milkshakes are wicked too. This place it well worth a visit.

Knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming staff. Wonderful stock. The smell reminded me of the chocolate markets of Oaxaca.
