Lines are long for a chocolate shop, but it is absolutely worth it to try out Kakawa house. We couldn't decide, so we didn't. I purchased some exquisite fine chocolates to-go, then we indulged on hot chocolates and ice cream, depending our preferences, with my...husband digging into a FRESH MINT chocolate chip. We enjoyed every flavor and every moment and a friend who is a local went from thinking it's an overhyped experience to genuinely appreciating it for both its flavors and the overall options that make it so fun. It is one of the busiest places we've been and sits on a very tricky road so be careful as you enter and exit.More

I came in and there was a group of women being helped so I waited and grabbed some things I saw online I wanted. 3bags of hot chocolate, 3 chocolate bars, and a couple other things to bring back home to my family. While I...was getting those things a lot of people came in so I stood behind them with my hands full of all the things I wanted, plus I was wanting to grab a couple other things in the window. I was never acknowledged the whole time I was in the store, completely ignored, but everyone that came in after got to taste test the 4+ things they wanted. I put all my items back and left. I also called after to tell them and they were able to answer my call but not even tell me they’ll be with me in a sec or make any eye contact with me when I was ready to spend $80+ without trying anythingMore

A friend recommended this beautiful spot near Canyon Road. It was incredible! The chocolate, ice cream, and other treats are out of this world. The staff is also amazing. Incredibly knowledgeable and willing to share what they know. We learned about the different styles of...hot chocolate and what makes each different. If you can order a flight of hot chocolate with homemade whipped cream so you can try the different kinds. America was my favorite as well as the spicy chile. Mint chocolate chip ice cream. All of the chocolates are delicious try them all. So fun!More

Hands down worst customer service I have ever gotten while traveling. My daughter and I went while visiting Santa Fe for Spring Break. I informed the girl behind the counter that it was our first visit and we weren't sure what to order and she...simply walked away. She then returned only to rush us through picking some chocolates. We tried to buy a couple of chocolate bars as souvenirs and she rudely checked me out and walked away before checking out my adult daughter. We had to leave without getting her chocolates because no one else offered to check us out despite standing at the register for several minutes. The shop was not short staffed. We spent seventy dollars in that place only for my daughter and I to agree it was one of the worst experiences we have ever had.More

Chocolate is wonderful. The Staff was not. Experience was disappointing and frustrating. We come to Santa Fe often and will hope next visit is friendlier and less condescending.

A cool little dessert place near Canyon Road in Santa Fe. We shared the Chocolate Flight which was unusual and really great - plus their ice cream was amazing. Nice staff, cute place, do not miss!

Heard great things and question the people who recommended. The hot chocolate was pretty good but not for the price. The chocolates that we picked were all a disappointment. Taste was like bakers chocolate. Not worth the money!More

Also some cool...berry drinks if you have an apostate in the group.More

Their location is about a half mile from the historic Santa Fe Plaza, an easy walk. This was our second time to Kakawa. Inside feels like a cozy cottage with about six tables. In addition to the chocolate drink we ordered a brownie. The drinks...were amazing. And the brownie with chile was moist and full flavored. The next time we are in Santa Fe we would not miss going again.More

Stopped in for a afternoon pick me up. The chocolate elixir's were interesting and different to try. The truffles were more of a dark chocolate than milk and just okay. They did offer a single drip coffee though! It seems more like a tourist place...to go and try and not frequent often.More
