Saw numerous highly rated reviews. Don’t understand how that is. To begin with you have to pay for chips and salsa. The food is average at best. Prices are decent and portions are large. The quality is just not there.

Three of us had a very mediocre dinner at Cafe Castro. Each one of us ordered a different meal and each one was bland at best. All the dishes were overcooked and not cooked as ordered, both the red and green chile's were bland and...More

Lunch time. Portion size adequate. Server ask if they could take our plates. We were finished with the lunch but not the sopapilla. They took everything before we could say anything. There was 4 people waiting and we were at a table for two.

The food was good, but not amazing for my taste. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was friendly and helpful. I may return for a second try, but I just won’t rush to get there.

This place was packed when we arrived, with lots of families. We had the blue corn chicken enchiladas Christmas and they were so delicious! The sauces, both red and green, were flavorful with just a little kick. We ordered a side of guacamole and chips...More
