This is a funky diner to visit and the menu has many typical Mexican style dishes on offer. We came for the blue corn and pine nuts pancakes, which didn't disappoint, though the "orange butter" lacked this citrus flavor and the cinnamon syrup tasted more...like Aunt Jemima than an original recipe. (And being from Canada I prefer real maple syrup to synthetic versions.) The peanut butter pie looked tempting, but the pancakes easily satiated us.More

If you are looking typical southwestern or Mexican type of food. This is definitely not the place. It may be rated high for burgers and sandwiches (which I did not get) . I am disappointed, family and I had high expectations. Quality versus price is...not worth it. It’s expensive for the quality of foodMore

Everything was quite tasty. I got the harvest oatmeal and impossible sausage and my husband got the meal with pancakes, eggs, hash browns and bacon. We got there right when it opened so the food came out quickly

Service was bad. The tall waiter with glasses and curly hair was RUDE. As if asking for a to go box was pulling teeth. He was polite and quick to help the caucasian family sitting next to us but we were clearly not of a...demographic to be treated equally and with respect. I will NOT patronize an establishment where I feel discriminated against. And I strongly recommend reconsidering giving ANY business to this establishment.More

We visited this cafe while passing through Santa Fe on our way to TX. The food was amazing-even the kids meals were delicious. We will definitely be back if ever passing through Santa Fe again.

We always feel welcome at this friendly restaurant. And we can always count on good food and excellent service. We have tried many of their dishes and have never found one wanting. If you haven't been give it a try. 25% occupancy at the moment...but quality has not diminished.More

On the patio, delightful. Spouse had chili pie, wished she had ordered beef instead of chicken, but still OK. Menu said homemade chicken fried steak, it was very good, but if I were the owners, I’d spice that gravy up with some green chili. Our...local family had their normals, then we took a key lime pie home for dessert. It was great. For comfort food a little pricey. Service was fine.More

I've eaten here before. It's a convenient northern New Mexican eatery in a strip plaza along Cerrillos' Motel Row. I wasn't looking for anything spicy this visit so I chose the chicken fried steak plate. Definitely not in the fashion of their traditional dishes. It...was served on a rather large plate of food, but the sauce was very bland. So I don't recommend. But I'd rather you tried breakfast here or, if you can only do dinner or lunch, I'd suggest something local New Mexican and add green chili. When I was here they were only seating outside. They don't take reservations so you'll have to queue up. You might want to call to determine the wait time once you get there. Lots of parking behind and in front.More

We ate here based on the all the positive reviews. I wasn’t impressed. I think we must have tried them on a bad night. We ordered two New Mexico Burritos - steak with red sauce. The steak inside the burritos was good but the red...sauce tasted like canned enchilada sauce with hot sauce added. For $33 I expected a bit better. Staff were very nice/professional but the food just wasn’t getting it.More

No though it can be busy at meal times or brunch - not sure if they take reservations but you could call - I’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes if busy. If you have a large party maybe call first.
