My mother, sister, and I were visiting Santa Fe and we found this little restaurant. We had dinner and liked it so much that we went back for lunch the next day. My sister had shrimp. I am vegan and I had a veggie burrito...and fajitas. The food and service was awesome.More

This is an incredible little restaurant conveniently located just outside of Santa Fe. Patio seating is available as well as take out. The food is absolutely amazing - definitely try the ceviche! Additionally, the outstanding staff is personable, professional and highly focused on sanitary measures....This is one place you do not want to miss!More

This isn't your typical Mexican, or even New Mexican, food. This restaurant serves Central American -- particularly Salvadorean -- cuisine such as pupusa, platanos, and the like. Our takeout dinners (during the COVID-19 pandemic) were well-prepared and very tasty -- and a welcome difference in...kind from the menus one usually encounters in Santa Fe.More

La Plancha opened for take-out again yesterday and we ordered from them this afternoon for a 5 p.m. pickup. Same good quality. This is a very good restaurant - good food and great people. We hope the community continues to support them through this terrible...pandemic!More

I like going here mid-afternoon because it's quiet and calm; the wine list is pretty good. The food is nothing to write home about but I am giving it 4 stars for atmosphere and "the college try". It's fairly affordable although for the price you...can find much better, real New Mexican food at, for example, Atrisco, in town. And even though Atrisco is always packed to the gills and noisy, it's well worth it!More

Very disappointing lunch. The purée of beans as well as the chili sauce seemed to have too much water in it as if they were extending the items vs refreshing them with product. I asked for a to go box and interesting that the box...is blotting the watery sauces. Hopefully just too much steam in kitchen and an off day, but today the chicken enchilada was not up to standards and not worth returning. The to go box was a simple scientific test to see how watery things were. Not to take home to eat later.More

We always enjoy a visit to La Plancha when we are in Santa Fe. One of our favorite dishes is fajitas whether we get chicken, steak or shrimp. The food is always fresh and delicious, made to order. The menu is quite extensive so there...is something for everyone’s taste. We also enjoyed the duo guitar players this past week that added to a delightful evening spent dining with family.More

The food is excellent even when compared to the other New Mexican establishments in Santa Fe, such as La Choza, The Shed, and La Tomasitas. Great authentic flavors, perfect green and red sauces. And the prices are right at approximately $10 per meal, the iced...tea is good, and the service is perfecto! Todo bien! Plus the atmosphere is chill... :-) This review comes from a family of very picky food lovers.More

We live in the area and this has become our favorite restaurant in the Santa Fe area. And that is saying a lot, considering this is one of the best foodie cities in the country. The food is very authentic, beautifully prepared, and very reasonable...in price. Our favorites are the chicken breast with their own mole sauce, the fajitas, and the stuffed chile problano, but really every thing is delicious. As an added bonus, most lunch and dinner times find guitarist Marc Yaxley playing quietly in the background. Marc is a studio guitarist who has played with some of the best in the world, retired to Eldorado at Santa Fe, and plays at La Plancha, we think, just for fun. He really is one of the best you will ever hear, and plays jazz and classical.More

This restaurant has a great "neighborhood" feel to it. It's located about twenty minutes outside Santa Fe proper, so draws primarily local clientele from the Eldorado area. Live solo jazz guitar music on a Monday night added to a relaxed ambiance. La Plancha's owners are...from El Salvador, and the menu reflects that ethnicity, though there are plenty of other options available. After an appetizer of totally delicious house-made kettle chips (best I've ever had!) and dip, we had the following: --Grilled salmon ($16.50), --Pork Ribs ($14.95) and --two orders of Camarones (Shrimp) ($17.95). All of the above were prepared nicely and thoroughly enjoyed. For dessert the four of us shared a huge piece of excellent carrot cake ($5.50). The wine list is limited. Recommended!More

In the past week I have eaten twice for lunch at this restaurant. I was delighted with the food, the clean conditions, and the lack of noise (which ruins meals at other restaurants). The first meal was the enchiladas and the second was a plate...of tender flank steak with chimichurri sauce, black beans and green rice. I must admit I love the steak meal and will return to repeat that order. My mom says the Sunday brunches are great too.More

Our whole experience was very, very good. Our entree's were perfect and done in a south western flare. The menu is fairly extensive with a lot to choose from and all seemed to be reasonably priced. Full bar with a small selection of craft beer...is available. Service was top notch and included live music.More

We spent the week in Bernalillo for a business trip and enjoyed the balloon fiesta. We are driving home to Colorado and got hungry so I looked up restaurants in google maps and this place was just 3 miles away off the highway where we...were. The reviews were great so we decided to try it. My son and I each got the Carne Asade (at only $10.95 why wouldn’t you??) and my daughter got the tacos and my husband got the 1/2 pound cheeseburger. The carne asade was absolutely delicious. It’s a generous sized steak that is deliciously marinaded and so tender! It comes with chimichurri sauce over it and that sauce is so incredibly flavorful. The rice is green and super delicious. My daughter had a salsa with her tacos that was so good I drank the rest right out of the bowl. I also licked clean my guacamole container it was that good! We all devoured our lunch and raved about it after. They also had a local guitar artist playing at lunch time. He was wonderful. Overall we were super impressed with the food and wish we lived nearby to be able to go back. If we are ever in the area we WILL return ❤️More
