What caught our attention was the Trip Advisor sign in the window. Since it was Saturday night I made a reservation from my trip advisor link for 6:45. On weekends best to make a reservations otherwise the weekdays it was easy to be seated asap. Our server Nate was very pleasant and suggesting of specialities on menu. Enjoyed NM wine,... More

Food, service and decor are excellent. The contemporary American menu is original and plates are beautifully presented. It is perhaps the owner who oversees the dining room and makes sure diners are well taken care of and she was particularly attentive to helping me make lactose free choices. So much to choose from. On my first visit, I had a... More

Had dinner with an old friend last night at Galisteo Bistro, our favorite Santa Fe restaurant for years. The lamb duet was scrumptious, the wine that Luis recommended was perfect, the spinach salad was a great accompaniment, and the blueberry bread pudding was a tasty finish. Good food, good service, welcoming hosts, all in a cozy setting. So glad Rob... More

It is wonderful to have the Chickerings back at the helm of this excellent restaurant. The cooking is superb with distinctive flavors and don't miss Marge's desserts.

Very disappointed in our fairly expensive ($105 including 2 glasses of wine) dinner. While the service was good, our meat entrees were way too tough. My wife ordered the pricey lamb shank ($34) and it was terrible, almost inedible but we were both too hungry to be sending anything back. I ordered a flank steak salad but the waiter told... More

Imaginative menu and extremely attentive and friendly service done correctly. No "you guys" and "are you still working on this" but served correctly from the left, removing from the right all done with a smile. Great place.

We generally like the Galisteo and have been there a few times. We had dinner there before a performance, but had allowed sufficient time. The appetizer (duck foie gras) was good, but not outstanding. The main entrée that day was a pair of lamb (one chop and one ground patty). This was very good, but was served with something that... If I could give it ZERO stars, I would! My husband and I had been customers when Rob first opened Galisteo Bistro, and it was always wonderful. However, the food is now NOT up to par, and the evening we went (a Saturday) he sat at a table in the back with a friend and his wife and they NEVER... More

Galisteo Bistro serves tapas and regular entrees. We went for dinner and had trouble deciding because the menu has such variety. My husband decided on the chicken saltimboca which he said was perfectly prepared and totally delicious. We split a salad that was a gorgonzola tart with a walnut crust on top of a bed of baby greens and roasted... More
