Spent 6 days in Friday Harbor and tried all the top rated restaurants and Coho was the best. Their menu is small but all the items were made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and were very tasty. The Cannelloni with lobster was the headliner. We both had the pan-seared halibut and the fish was delicious, but a little under-seasoned (for... More

A lovely small restaurant with very attentive staff. The food was good. We opted for local fish. The side dishes were less interesting. The early dinner special is a great deal. It's a small place so make reservations.

Thank you for dining with us at Coho Restaurant. We are thrilled you were able to enjoy our local bounty from the land and sea. This time of year chef has many ingredients available from local farms and purveyors to showcase on our menu. Oh yes, our Chef's Tasting is a great value - a small soup and salad, two... More

Coho Restaurant has been in operation since 2008, but this is the first time we've visited it. Our bad. Friends gave us a gift certificate to this restaurant and it was the beginning of what will hopefully be a long relationship. The tables are covered in linen tablecloths (with glass over it) which adds to the warm invitation to come... More

Terry, We are so pleased that you finally had a chance to experience an evening with us at Coho Restaurant. We do hope that you will become a regular. Just a note that our sorbet comes with a shot of artisan tequila, but the rum is not a bad idea. We have a lovely Brugel rum from the Dominican that... More

Lovely friendly service. Pleasant dining room in converted house. Food was interesting in display and flavour. However, vichyssoise soup seemed bland. Boomtown cab Sauvignon terrific.

We are glad that we were able to squeeze you in for dinner at Coho Restaurant. With our intimate dining room with only 9 tables, we often find ourselves sadly turning guests away on busy nights. So next time you are in town, please make a reservation so we are sure to have a table waiting for you. We are... More

Excellent food - on the expensive side but worth it. Pleasant informed staff. Small restaurant - probably beneficial to make a reservation.

Thank you for dining at Coho Restaurant on San Juan Island and we are pleased to hear that you had a memorable evening. While we love serendipity on holiday, it is definitely best to have a reservation if you would like to dine with us. We hate to turn away guests when we are full. Best, Anna Maria More

I was very excited to try this highly rated restaurant on our recent visit to San Juan Island. From the moment we arrived for our reservation it was an uncomfortable experience. One of the waitresses was very friendly, the other was rude and seemed as if our being there was an inconvenience. Loud music from next door (drums and Mexican... More

Thank you for dining with us at Coho Restaurant and I am sorry that your experience wasn't typical. Our intimate dining room lends itself to a quiet evening with friends. We understand how the festival's music next door took away from that experience and for that we do apologize. Chef Bill hand butchers all the fish, chicken and meat on... More

Food was great but the lemon-lavender margarita was the most amazing drink I have ever had. I think about that drink often!

Sarah, Thank you for dining at the Coho Restaurant. We are thrilled you enjoyed your evening with us. Our lavender lemon margarita has become quite popular. Made from freshly squeezed limes and lemons, a touch of culinary lavender from Pelindaba Lavender farm and some artisan tequila, the cocktail is a perfect blend of sweet, citrus and floral. We will have... More

Small (12) tables with limited menu featuring local and Alaskan line-caught fresh fish. Service was team oriented but personal. My halibut was probably the best ever. Not cheap, but good food was worth it.

We went to Coho after a day of visiting Friday Harbor. The restaurant is small and located in a comfortable old house. Jim, So happy to hear that you had a memorable dining experience at Coho Restaurant. While we do have a seafood focused menu particularly this time of year when we have the bounty of the sea at Chef's disposal, we also showcase many entrees from the land including local pork, beef and chicken. With kind regards, Anna Maria More
