Food was OK . The egg rolls were spectacular but other than that everything else was just ok. The service is really what gets this place 3 stars. It looks like there are only 2 people running the operation and I understand that during these...times it is difficult to find help but that just means you have to charge more to pay your employees more . I literally stood at the register for over 10 minutes just to pay because no one was around and there were only 4 other people in the restaurant. I will probably visit this place again but more than likely just carry out .More

This is our favorite Thai restaurant in San Antonio. The spring rolls are great and so are the traditional Thau dishes. The people are kind and caring.

Soup, eggrolls and crab rangoons good. Staff nice. Gang Massaman ingredients did not taste fresh. Gang Keow Wan was supposed to ( and in most restaurants is served) have eggplant and peas but this had no eggplant or peas but had some green peppers which...was ok but was stuffed full of GREEN BEANS!!! Odd and awful.More

Really good Thai food, my coworker recommended it to me and it was delicious. Their spring roles were on point

We had for Sunday lunch Pad Thai and Pad Woon Sen. Pad Thai was very tasty and somewhat sweet. Pad Woon Sen was excellent and the best we found in SA. Location is not great and only 2 others dining while we were there. Good...Thai and Vietnamese food and worth the visit if you like these types of food. We did!More

We've normally ordered take out and decided to stop in today and dine. The place was near empty, yet the service was horrendous. Add 6 more patrons 10 mins later, the bad service multiplied. Pad Thai was great as was the Pho, thus the four...stars. We'll stick to take out next time.More

This restaurant is somewhat hard to get to (even though it is visible from the highway), but is worth a visit. The spice level of the soup was ordered medium, but was quite a bit spicier than the usual "medium" of other Thai restaurants. Pad...Thai and the red curry were mildly flavored, but still good.More

I've been here a couple times. The Pad Thai and Pad Woosen are pretty good. I gave in and decided to try Pho to see what all the fuss was about. It was disappointing to say the least. I was told that Pho is much...better elsewhere.More

We have been to Yum Thai several times. The wait staff are very helpful and attentive. We really like the Vermicelli Bowl with grilled pork and the pot sticker (and we are very particular about pot stickers and they are good!). Although all the food...is good, some of the dishes lack in flavor (like the Panang Pork). We really like this place and recommend it.More

My wife really liked the Cashew Chicken. She said it was the best she has had since we moved from Hawai'i over 6 years ago. I had a duck curry dish that is new and not on the menu. The taste and textures were great....The curry was not too strong and the heat of the sauce was just right. I don't like really spicy hot and this duck dish was just right and tasted great. I would highly recommend it. The restaurant is nicely appointed and the staff is friendly and helpful with the menu and service. Go to Yum Thai. I think you will like it!More

I've been to the Yum Thai off 1604/Bandera, so I was already familiar with the menu. We walked in, were greeted by a friendly young lady, and sat down to look over the menu. I had the Massaman with a Thai tea and a spring...roll. My only complaint was that the our food was on the cold side, also it was bland. At the other location, they let you choose how spicy you want. Fixable problems that won't keep me away unless they persist. My recommendation: Try it!More

After visiting other Thai and Vietnamese restaurants in San Antonio, which were mediocre,my girlfriend recommended this restaurant. Glad she did! Everything we ordered was good. We ordered pad Thai, chicken red curry, basil chicken and spring rolls. The ambience is very laid back and NO sticky...rice! Regardless I'm so happy to have this place as a dining option.More

Being not overly hungry,we decided to try a few of the appetizers. Getting bowls of rice to accompany them, we had a wonderful light meal of variety.

I'd purposely returned here for a good bowl of Pho but last night was riddled with disappointment. My family of 3 came in early in the dinner hour before any rush. Restaurant was empty when we came in but staff seated us at a dirty...table followed by a clumsy hunt for a rag to wipe down the table. We gave our drink orders and looked over the menu. The menu was dotted with tacky stickers that blotted out old pricing and discontinued offerings. Our app of Vietnamese spring rolls arrived--short a roll--tasted of old overused oil. Entrees arrived and we sat waiting for staff to bring utensils and napkins to eat with. She was texting on her phone while our food cooled. Pho came without any of the usual accompaniments of basil sprouts cilantro. I like to patronize locally owned businesses but I'm passing up this joke of a restaurant. I'd rather drive by and throw $20 bills out the car window rather than suffer disrespectful inattentive service and week old reheated food.More

We frequent Thai restaurants in San Antonio in search of the best Pad Thai and other Vietnamese/Thai combinations. The Pad Thai here is phenomenal. The only other places in town that I believe matches the quality is Jasmine Thai near the Medical Center and Thai...Spice in Stone Oak. The staff was courteous and the portions were shareable. The orange chicken was spot on and wasn't battered too heavily. The orange sauce wasn't overly sweet which my son loved. The Pho was great too. I prefer to eat Pho at the restaurant as it's easier to flavor with al the ingredients at your disposal. Overall, we've enjoyed every visit to Yum Thai.More
