When we were there the waitresses had tartan mini shirts and looked very attractive. We had fish and chips and they were very good, service was excellent and the décor is really interesting with many authentic items from the UK.

The food here is nothing noteworthy. It is more for the location and drinks, then the food here. The bar is a typical pub style, with attractive servers with the short skirt styles.

This is a restaurant chain, but they do a very good job of keeping the taps full of imported brews among a full bar. The staff is friendly and there is usually live music here at night. This place can be a little crowded, especially during sports events...

The beer wasn't cold. The fish was good n greasy, but the chips (if that's what you want to call them) were just ok. They're served in a paper cone which wasn't full. I literally counted them there was so few.10 to be exact. The waitress' weren't attractive at all. I know this is San Antonio but hire some British... More

I deducted stars for following reasons: 1. Environment is very touristy, not authentic, England 2. Girls is low skirts is a copycat of Tilted Kilt. Devalues the experience 3. Steak & Ale Pie was flaky but had little flavor compared to good, authentic England pubs 4. Lacked a good Stout and Porter selection. They could have at least had a... More

My family and I where walking around the San Antonio river walk when we found the Mad Dogs Pub, we thought this would be a good place for dinner but it was not as good as what we thought. He food took a long time to come out and the food was hot when it did come out but it is... More

Have been to the UK many times and my son who was with me was stationed in the UK for five years so we were fairly skeptical when we choose to eat at this restaurant. We were both surprised how close they came to the real British pub experience. I had the fish and chips which was very good and... More

We were seated right away, 2 adults 2 hot, tired & hungry kids. Went downhill from there. Waited for waitress to come take order, when she finally came and asked for drink order we went ahead and ordered food right away. She repeated it back wrong, then wrote it down. She came back after several minutes to double check our... More

As you can see from my posts, I travel a LOT. I have been to all of the competitors (Tilted Kilt, Twin Peaks, and Hooters) and this is by far the best. I went early on a Wednesday and was promptly seated. Kate, my server, who was not only gorgeous but very helpful with beer selections. I ordered the fish... More

This place was horrible. The music was so loud (even outside) and the staff was unprofessional and inappropriate. We waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged by the young man who seemed to be enamored by two men sitting at the table next to us. I asked for my drink and water- no water, the server never came back to ask... More

Description
We are located right on the SAN ANTONIO RIVERWALK, directly under the SAN ANTONIO HYATT REGENCY HOTEL.Unlike other SAN ANTONIO BARS & CLUBS, MadDogs is an AUTHENTIC BRITISH theme pub.

We offer a full range of draft & bottled IMPORTED BEERS, ice cool exotic cocktails and extensive domestic beverage options.

We are situated on the VERY BEST Riverwalk Location; our tropical terrace nestles on the banks of The River itself. The uninterrupted tranquility allows options for relaxing with a ‘cold one’ or simply people watching as the Riverwalk tourists bustle by. Either way you can’t avoid enjoying our LITTLE PIECE OF BRITAIN, whilst basking in the South Texas sun.
