Unless you go across the border into Mexico, San Antonio & El Paso probably have the best real Tex-Mex in Texas. So, it is hard to even identify the best 10, but having been born in El Paso, & raised in San Antonio for many years (Fort Sam Houston), I have to place this restaurant @ least in the running... I love the atmosphere here. They also have great Mexican food and fantastic margaritas. The staff was friendly and the menu had many choices. I think these are my favorite boracho beans!

Great Atmosphere, modern, very upscale Tex Mex, but reasonable prices. Excellent service, unique items like enchiladas lobster with sauce, shrimp tacos to die for, many unique selections. Prices very reasonable, typical entire $12-14.

I have been to the location on blanco and the new one on Military highway. the new one has had hit and miss with service. But it's always been great at theBlanco location. The margaritas are tops. The seafood is delicious and well prepared. The salsa is amazing. It's pricey but it's worth it.

BEST MEXICAN FOOD.EVER. It's like the gods of mexican food came down and built this little restaurant named El Mirasol and said "Eat and you will never want to eat anywhere else again." I've been all over the world, eaten at every Mexican/ Tex-Mex restaurant there is and this place won my heart! Lobster enchiladas, fresh fish with fresh vegatables,... More

Usually filled to capacity with locals, this is margarita mecca. Unfortunately, for tourists the location is not convenient but it would be worth the taxi ride. Every return trip to San Antonio is a return trip to El Mirasol for us.The outside patio has fans and coverage to keep you cool, but if you go during high traffic time the... More

If you are seeking authentic Mexican cuisine with a lovely local ambiance - then visit El Mirasol! Located in a charming neighborhood, this family friendly restaurant exceeded all of our expectations with cuisine that surprised our palates. Try the crab appetizer - which is a meal in itself!

The food is always fresh and hot and hands down have the best margaritas in the City. In the last year this restaurant has grown to capacity and are opening a new location so at times the service is slow at peak hours but this is expected. The waiter staff is prompt and courteous!

Thank Alli P
