Great atmosphere from outside and inside. Very popular, will have to wait if you are at peak times. Restaurant is not quiet, but the noise is good. Menu offers good variety. Had lobster bisque and stuffed crab. Not the best but good. Lobster bisque too thin and lacked the sherry flavor but lots of lobster!!!! Stuffed crab was above average.

I am originally from Louisiana and Pappadeaux has the best and most authentic cajun food I've ever had outside the state. I wish we had one in Tennessee but I'm glad we don't because I would definitely eat there way too much! Also a warning, my husband and I always order 1 meal and split it when traveling for his... This place is crazy busy all the time - which says one thing: great food! Either come early or be prepared to wait for a table. The atmosphere is excellent - you almost feel like you're in a very large fishing shack on a Louisiana bayou. A bit pricy, but well worth every cent - the portions are huge (even... More

Terrific service and outstanding ambiance. It gets a bit crowded at times, but I guess that's a good thing. Even when it is Kama it is some of the best food you could ever find this side of New Orleans. We trying to make it there at least once a month and every time it is perfect. Get a taste... More

I have eaten at lots of Pappadeaux in Houston, Austin and now, San Antonio. The Pappas family run a tight ship with consistently high quality food at reasonable prices. The restaurants are large and a little noisy, but well decorated. There is a lot going on here and the menu can be a little confusing to new comers. Just keep... More

Fabulous atmosphere, good food except relatively overpriced and, don't get blackened whatever you do. We'd had it years ago and forgot, then darned, did it again on vacation and the blackened seasoning was just too overpowering, not even done right at all, just a lot of seasoning on otherwise grilled food. That said, the seafood platter and the fish itself... More

I went to lunch here, with my husband today and WOW, so busy, but so so good. Staff was friendly, serves was quick and the food, well the food was a 10/10. I had the Blackened Catfish, the lunch portion and what a winner!

We came in for a family lunch, and were delighted! Great service, good prices, wonderful food! We loved their signature chocolate cake desert.

This restaurant is over rated for what it provides. Being so close to the airport brings a lot of one time visitors. Rudeness is the order of business at the hostess desk. If you don't want to have to sit and watch your phone for a text message that your table is ready,.ask for a buzzer. They have them, but... More
