Cappy's has been a classy establishment as long as I've lived in San Antonio. You know you're in for great service when the wait staff have their names embroidered on their shirts. Reservations are definitely suggested fur Saturday night. This time I opted for the duck breast special I had a field greens salad to start which included goat cheese,... More

Cappy's has been around since the 70s apparently. Its a well known spot in the Heights and has good food and bar on 2 floors, as well as a shady patio. Usually good. It can be a hit or miss these days. Fairly noisy due to hard surfaces on the 1st floor.

We decided to try Cappy's on a Sunday evening. The comfortable ambience is complemented by the superior service. Despite the excellent presentation, though, the prime rib was rather anemic in taste. We wished it had tasted as good as it looked. The same could be said for the swordfish. However, the toffee pudding was one of the best deserts I've... More

Great venue and service. Food was fresh and the serving size was just right. No issue with having a nice conversation. Staff was very pleasant and attentive without being pushy. Martini could of been served in a grown-up glass but other than that, great place to have a nice dinner. Off the beaten path but worth the ride.

I followed trip advisors advance and ended up here. I walked in the door waring swimming trunks and flip flops to see that this is a high end restaurant and I'm under dressed but customer service is just as important in my reviews so I continued to be seated. I was skeptical when they brought me my plate because it... More

We LOVE Cappy's and return often! Their prime rib, served Friday and Saturday nights, is the BEST EVER! They have a good wine selection and their house made bread is mmmmm mmmmm good! We often take a loaf home. Highly, highly recommend!

We ordered the crab, catch of the day and shrimp. We had read the bar was very good so we ordered Marinis. The martinis are probably the worst we have tried in our lives !! The crab cake was good.. Period The catch of the day was good but NOT great. The place has 3 different areas that look more... More

Cappy's has excellent martini's, let me say that up front. Now this is the restaurant, not the bar. Two items off the menu, both were as good as you get! The gumbo was excellent with the only complaint being the thinness. The roux a dark chocolate color, had no burnt, which can happen, but it should have made it a... More
