The atmosphere was fantastic-we sat on the patio, and the food was fine, but the brunch selection was disappointing. All in all, I wouldn't go back. Service was really good also.

This restaurant has to be one of the top ranked best places to dine with, in all of San Antonio Texas! The food, the taste, service, atmosphere, drinks etc... will certainly help set the pace for the rest of your day. I've dined all over the world and for a local restaurant like this one to get it so right... More

Cappys has been here forever, and it's as good as ever. Food is always good here. I suggest reservations on the weekend. The locals are most of the crowd. You cannot go wrong by taking out of town guests here. It's pricey, but consistently worth it. If you are a tourist downtown, get out here. If you're local, get here.

Ate on a Monday evening - no wait to be seated. Pricey. Small menu with elegant presentations. I had the gumbo which came with a piece pf blackened drum I could have skipped. Gumbo good but unusually dark. We also had a great rib eye, great halibut and pretty good salmon. Service was odd - she was there checking on... More

Sunday lunch at Cappy's was delicious! I enjoyed Chicken Fried Stuffed Meatloaf (stuffing included cheese, spinach, and mushrooms). The atmosphere is great and the staff are very attentive.

We had a delicious dinner including gumbo and the mustang chicken. The honey wheat bread was outstanding. Our server, Shere made sure we had a great dining experience. Quiet, pleasant atmosphere.

Service was great. It was so cold in the building that we ate on the patio. Lamb was tasteless. Overall, based on the quality of the food, it was way overpriced

This is a very good old standard for the Alamo Heights/Olmos Park crowd. It was not too busy but I could have been there early for the usual patrons. (old guard) The food was very good but over priced in today's market with all the alternatives in SA. They can try to up their game or reduce the prices. This... More

Our family discovered Cappy's Resturant almost by accident on the last evening of our Christmas holiday in San Antonio. Our family was pleased with the quite atmosphere of the restaurant. Our waiter was very helpful and carefully explained the various items on the dinner menu. I ordered the pike special and was not disappointed. Our family also ordered the shrimp... More
