Yes, it’s very expensive. They even have off-the-me Wagyu beef options at $40/ounce. We avoided that but it’s an expensive place no matter how you play it. We shared a 12 oz rib eye that was spectacular, plus a wedge salad that was a riff...on the BLT without the bread. Throw in some blue cheese and you have a super tasty salad. The candied jalapeños with cream cheese on toast was a fantastic amuse bouche that we both enjoyed although neither of us likes “hot” stuff Excellent, attentive wait staff who didn’t come by too often with gratuitous: “How are you enjoying your meal?” queries. They KNOW the food is great. A wonderful birthday choice even without the Wagyu!!More

The quality and taste of the food is just spectacular! The service was really outstanding. The cost is totally justified by all previously mentioned. If you’re looking for something different than Tex Mex and BBQ please do not hesitate to visit! Thanks a lot!

Food is excellent and almost everything else was suboptimal. So it 3 hours to be served and that does not include desert. Drinks came very quickly but food not so much. Service was attentive but without what we ordered. Then we waited an hour for...our valet parked car. A great chef but the experience totally ruined by everything elseMore

We came to Bohanans for a do-over for our 35th Anniversary dinner as the night before made the mistake and went to Chart House at Towers of America and had awful food and service. Found out from the locals to go to Bohanans if we...want a great meal - so made reservation and LOVED IT! The atmosphere and service - Megan Stein our server - went beyond accommodating us for our Anniversary dinner. Wish this restaurant was in Michigan too.More

Excellent dinner! A group of 6 of us had dinner here our first night in San Antonio and it did not disappoint! Not only does the food deserve five stars but the service and atmosphere do as well too! Every thing that we ordered was...delicious - we started with the Caesar salad with duck fried croutons and French onion soup, for entrees most of the group ordered steaks and someone also ordered the scallops. we shared a variety of sides as a table - Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, truffle fries and the lobster creamed corn. Everything was hot and flavorful. The filet I ordered was cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. While all the sides were very good the real stars were the truffle fries and the lobster cream corn! Highly recommend Bohanan’s for a nice dinner in San Antonio!More

Not our first time at Bohanan's however this time we were seated in the back room, which I did not know existed. It's a Large room with tables filled with loud boisterous men some dressed in jeans, t-shirts and ball caps. I had the feeling...of being in a roadhouse sports-bar with all the rowdiness of college kids. My wife and I had envisioned a relaxing romantic evening. We were seated across from each other at a small table for two and could not carry on a conversation. After complaining to the waiter who said it was above his pay grade to move us to the main dinning area I requested someone who had the pay grade to help. We were moved to the main dinning area and apparently were seated at a waiterless table. After being seated for twenty minutes we were finally taken care of. I do appreciate the management and staff for accommodating our desire for a quieter dinner. Bohanan's had been the epitome for fine dinning, now I am not so sure.More

The meal and service here was above outstanding. Our wait staff ( and I do mean staff) were on top of everything, glasses kept full, even the coffee cups were warm before the coffee was poured. our meal was prepared exactly as we wanted. It...is no wonder that this restaurant is a AAA 4 diamond award winner.More

Food was great. Our server, Rick B, was very attentive and had a great personality. We had the 11 Oz filet and crabcakes. Both were prepared very well. If we are ever back in town, we will certainly return.

Maybe we should have had steaks, but COVID rules aren’t the only reason they don’t need to put salt shakers on the table. Both of our seafood entrees were rather salty tasting, but not as much as the broccoli side order. Had seen photos of...the shrimp cocktail appetizer, and while the shrimp were super jumbo, they had spent some of that age since being cooked. Cocktail sauce was thick and weak on the horseradish. Cocktails were fine, and so was the table service. Close out your bar tab before you go tell them they’re overdue on your dinner reservation, as they don’t carry your bar tab upstairs to your dinner tab.More

Most of the diners wear business clothes. The wait staff are all in ties. I wouldn't feel good wearing jeans. Hope you enjoy your meal.
