SUPERB! Returned to San Antonio for 40th anniversary to one of our favorite restaurants. Fun& relaxing atmosphere. Exotic tropical bar selections. We experimented with the delicious& unique choices of Mojito’s and Sangrias before dinner. Our attentive & friendly waiter brought us appetizers we inquired about that was not even on the menu, fried yuca. Dinner was tasty w/fresh herbs and vegetables to supplement delicious traditional and modern Latin meat & seafood options. Had Chilean Sea Bass & Feijoada do Rio Pork Shank w/grilled Caribbean vegetables & black beans/rice. Great presentation. Tropical Fruit Gratin & the Dessert Sampler great choices to top off a lovely evening. Live music & salsa dancing not currently available (COVID-19) yet still enjoyed great Latin music as we dined. Patio dining was available, but selected indoor seating (well separated for social distancing). Staff made it a perfect and memorable evening! Vielka & Jeff......

Menu had a number of interesting items and settled on a mixed seafood stew which was indeed delicious although did not care for potatoes in a stew with rice. Service was attentive. I was a bit miffed when the server added both an 18% tip and a 20% tip to the final bill; when brought to her attention she apologized and removed the 18% one [menu did not state that anything was automatically added to a bill].

Found this restaurant randomly via an online search and decided to visit it during a planned visit to the area, Well, my visit was fantastic !! Carlos, our server was very accomodating and friendly. The margaritas were tasty. The tostones were plentiful. We shared servings of Mofongo, Beef Steak Churrasco and the dinner Paella . All were delicious !!!! The corn bread was outstanding too. Looking forward to my next visit.

My friend and I went for a girls night out based on the recommendation of one of her coworkers, and it turned out to be a perfect evening. Super quiet for a Thursday evening... Everything about our meal...the drinks, appetizer, entrees and dessert...was delicious. It was also all very reasonably priced especially considering the portion size. We both had plenty of leftovers, so we could save room for dessert. It’s a small restaurant that takes reservations, and a place I would not only return to but would highly recommend to someone looking to try something new.

We had a delightful experience at Azuca, the best meal of our 5day trip. The dishes were a blend of very unique flavors. We were able to try the grilled octopus, Seafood Curry Latino, Gambia al Ajillo and the Seed Crusted Ahi. All 4 were amazing! Hard to say which I liked best. We also tried the Tres Leches Cake which was very flavorful. I would consider it a not-to-be-missed place.

We are visiting in town from Kentucky! My wife was searching for a unique place !! We found it !!!! Azuca Sabor Latino !!!! One of a kind !! Rene was so friendly and welcoming when we entered ! The food !! Wow. Tortilla soup, great salad, mahi-mahi, and the big meat platter - at reasonable price. Not just a meal - an experience !!!

We ordered four dishes to share among 2 couples and we all agreed that each dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. The portions were generous and filling. The service was friendly and prompt. This was our favorite meal in San Antonio, can’t recommend it highly enough. Wish we could come back and sample every dish. And love to experience the dancing on the weekends!

I stopped here for dinner mostly based off the reviews and thought it would be cool to try a more unusual cuisine. Service was fine throughout, though not exceptional. The Sopa de Tortilla was very nicely made and had an even amount of seasoning. The chicken was cooked solidly. My main issue was that it was served at a sort of lukewarm temperature. The mahi mahi was surprisingly good and the coconut-tomato sauce paired with the fish well (I was expecting it to be possibly a bit overtly sweet). The Ahi Tuna was cooked well and I really liked the sauce in particular but the portion size was quite small. The Ropa Vieja was, to me, the best dish I ordered: the beef was cooked perfectly and flavourful. The vegetable accompaniments and rice and beans were all excellently made and rounded out the dish nicely. For the portion sizes, I did believe it was a bit expensive, the main reason I didn't give 5 bubbles.

My husband and I spent our 1st anniversary here 11 years ago and spent our 11th anniversary there this weekend! The people are still amazing and so sweet, the food is out of this world, and the atmosphere is anything you want it to be. We ordered the sampler appetizer (your tastebuds will dance), the tropical mahi mahi plate and parillada...everything was amazing! The prickle pear margarita and mango mojito were our "happy endings." We will be back!

Great atmosphere, wonderful food and presentation. Tons of leftovers. First quality experience. Loved the 23 dollar assorted appetizer. Was a meal in itself. Salad with salmon added was a winner, as was the mixed seafood. Even cornbread as complimentary touch was a loaf and one of best ever. Cannot say enough good about this place. Walked to from north of riverwalk easily.

Been here about 6 times since I moved to San Antonio area 2.5 yrs ago. Awesome food and service every time. Ambiance is warm, eclectic and welcoming. Food is top notch full of flavor and flare with lots of seafood options (not a fried food place, real fresh stuff here!). After first time I came here, I now bring long term San Antonians because it is truly a hidden gem. I'd say this should be on your list!!!

About 12 of us had dinner and drinks there. It is cozy and welcoming with distinctive artwork. The appetizers and entrees were unique and the presentation of each dish was outstanding. I had shrimp diablo and it was fantastic. Prices were very reasonable and they gave us all separate checks. Not a bad walk from the Grand Hyatt.

We are new to the San Antonio/ South Town area and have been exploring new restaurants each weekend. This by far was the best food and service we’ve received. Everything from appetizers, dinner, dessert and cocktails was done with flavor, care, and the plating was perfect. We will definitely go again

I’ve been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Every time we drive from georgetown to San Antonio, we make sure and stop to have dinner here. The food is innovative and delicious, I can’t compare their cuisine to anything else, the portions are big and the prices low for the amazing cuisine that is served. My only complaint is that Georgetown doesn’t have an Azuca.

We stopped in for an early dinner on a Saturday. Just us at first and then it started to fill up. We had plantain fritters with mojo. It was a huge portion and really good. Then I had seafood with red curry and rice and my wife had mahi mahi with a spicy sauce. Both were wonderful. Well presented and delicious. I had a black dragon mojito which was great. My wife was less thrilled by the red sangria. Service was great. First time here and we will be back for sure.
