Margaritas are excellent with many flavors available. Cheese enchilada sauce is unbelievable. Everything was delicious. Go early before the locals fill up the place. You will NOT be disappointed.

According to Opentable-dot.com, one of the best places in San Antonio to have a lovely brunch, is in a lovely colonial building/restaurant called La Fonda on Main. The Ceviche is truly spectacular, and the portion is quite ample. I had their omelette with spinach, and it was divine. The Mimosas and Bloody Mary's...Ay Caramba! Out of this world. The setting... This place is near downtown, but also a good choice for people working near 410... I ate a stuffed chile poblano with cheese, light version because it wasn't fried. This is a great choice for locals, but travelers will enjoy the mexican decorations.

La Fonda was recommended to us as a great place for Mexican food, both Tex-Mex and traditional, and the recommendation was extremely accurate. Lots of parking in lots all around the building. Reservations appear to be necessary as the clientele was a mix of locals and tourists. At 7:45, there where lots of folks waiting for tables. Atmosphere was that... More

This place is the best, great everything! Made a reservation the day before, got a call back on the day to confirm and requested outside. Arrived and 7 of us seated in 5 minutes. Food, service and atmosphere excellent. Worth a visit.

Menu had many choices. Chips & Salsa were very good. I ordered the queso which was equally good. My wife ordered chicken Enchiladas and I ordered the vegetarian one - both were well presented on the plate and came out piping out quite quickly and it was delicious. Refried beans on the side were very tasty and light. This was... More

The food and service is very good but the place itself is very special. Very good all round experience. If they tell you something is hot...believe them. Food or spice. This is kind of a place were most people from San Antonio make it a few time a year. It will give you a flavor for the residence of the... More

I wanted tex mex and we chose this place. We were not disappointed. The cheese enchiladas were just what I was looking for and the chips and queso were great. The restaurant is very clean and airy. Just a nice place to eat. The service was fast and friendly. I was looking for something more "divey" but I was glad... More

The food was delicious and the wait staff was great. Price very reasonable. Sit outside on the patio under the big tree and have a cactus pear margarita.
