Went on a whim for a special Saturday night on vacation to S.A... no indoor reservations available, but perfect outdoor spot with attentive service, great food, and no complaints!

Really liked the food and atmosphere. The service was okay, slow time at the restaurant sometimes makes waiters loose focus.

We had an absolute great time, the staff is accommodating and eager to help, lack a bit on Turndown service. It is in a fabulous location. Loved it, will visit again.

We went for lunch. My food actually was delicious, but it was enough to feed little old ladies who lunch (which I am not). My companion's lunch was $14 for two small enchiladas which were bland. If the cost had been half, or the proportions more filling, my review would be more positive.

Had lunch with co-workers here. Chips very good; salsa was a bit like jar salsa. Could have been better. Service, food, and preparation were great. Lemonade was best i've ever had. A bit pricey for a lunch, but would return for a dinner.

I have to admit that I'm a bit baffled by all of the 5-star ratings for this restaurant. My boyfriend and I were visiting from out of town and he wanted to go to a good Tex Mex restaurant. After checking the reviews on Yelp, Open Table, and TripAdvisor, I thought this was a sure bet, but we were extremely... More

It was my first visit and was impressed by the service and the servings. We tried a couple of the specials and they were very tasty. The queso appetizer was also very good. The portion of ice cream served for dessert was large enough for at least 3 people.

We love La Fonda. Finally got to try some fajitas and they were excellent. The beef was so tender and succulent have never tasted anything like it. The service was excellent our server was very attentive. This is a very nice restaurant for anyone who likes great atmosphere and great food. I recommend it to anyone who comes to San... More

This place is not a tourist trap Tex-Mex spot, this is the real deal. They've been in business since 1932! It's located in a cute, older neighborhood and frequented by locals. There is a lot across the street for easy parking. The ambiance is very charming—it's in an old adobe house. We stopped in early with two other couples. As... More

Decided to try this place after reading a few reviews. It turned out to be a great choice. The food, service, and atmosphere were everything we wanted. I really enjoyed the beef fajitas; the meat was done perfectly and had a wonderful flavor. I'm guessing the tortillas were made there, they were thicker than I'm used to which was a... More
