We were in San Antonio for a girls' weekend and wanted to enjoy a "texas" steak. We were not disappointed. Our waiter - Daniel - was attentive and knowledgeable. We split the 12oz New York Strip and a wedge salad. He brought the salad divided and allowed us to divide the steak - no extra plate charge! The steak was... More

Scoped out this quaint establishment along the river walk during my first day in SA. The location, white lights and beautiful ambience made me want to take my 23 year old daughter there when she arrived in town. Unfortunately, it was an experience we both wish to forget. Ordered the crab claw cocktail to start and the filet & shrimp... More

Although, we appreciate all feedback to our restaurant, we must fully support our management in this situation. The combination of the Filet Mignon & Shrimp Scampi @ $36 does not come with a full size 8 oz. Filet Mignon (sold @ $38), but a 4 oz Filet Mignon as it is paired with the Shrimp Scampi (sold @ $26). The... More

Went here while in town for business and was NOT disappointed. The wine and cocktail selection was exceptional and the food was perfectly cooked. The outdoor seating is right next to the river walk and beautiful in the evening. Don't go here thinking it's a cheap restaurant because it's pretty pricey. In my opinion it's worth every penny though. One... More

We had wandered up and down the Riverwalk and just wanted to sit down somewhere quiet to have a glass of wine and conversation with our friends. The Riverwalk was packed with rowdy bars and restaurants, but when we walked down to the Rhein, it was just perfect! Located in a tucked away corner of the river with a lovely... More

The evening began with the host not being able to find our reservation, then seating us by the front door. We were moved, when my husband requested a different table. We asked for spring water and got sparkling water. They had a special menu for New Year's Eve - maybe the food is better on normal nights, but this meal... More

The Little Rhein Steakhouse is in the La Villita area of the River Walk and overlooks the San Antonio River and all the river boats and the sidewalk along the river. We had dinner on the porch but would recommend the terrace on a nice cool dry night where the people watching is best. The food is good and the... More

We went on Christmas eve when they were offering a special which we took advantage of, lobster bisque, a salad, prime rib with asparagus and potatoes au gratin with little cornbread muffins. I'm telling you that was the best prime rib ever! I could cut it with a butter knife if I wanted to, it was beautiful and delicious. The... More

This lovely old building has a charming atmosphere; however, we sat on the closed in back porch which gave us a view of the San Antonio Riverwalk, but the atmosphere of a fine restaurant was lost. Our waitress was knowledgeable and attentive. The food was far less than stellar. Each entrée included asparagus and allowed no option to substitute. Of... More
