I've been here many times over the years, and this is an annual stop for us. The location is great, and the atmosphere is great. Lot's of history and so much more enjoyable than the newer "chain" type places that you see on the river. Their outdoor dining is very nice when the heat isn't too bad. The staff is... More

Quaint restaurant on the quite side of the river. The decor and the location are the novelty. Four of us ordered individual salads, steaks and a la carte sides. Everything was ok, not bad, but not really over the top. Not really any flavor to the meats. one of our table mates put it this way, "I could have grilled... More

Was there on an evening in May--no reservation, but was seated at a lovely table for two right on the river. Great filet, excellent cucumber martini. Great service.

It's been awhile since I visited this little gem, it never disappoints! Imagine my surprise, when Port Reyes blue cheese was displayed on vine tomatoes. That cheese is the best you'll ever have! The filet was cooked perfectly and had great flavor and was served with roasted garlic potatoes and asparagus. If u want to finish off your meal with... More

I went here with my fiancé (now husband) for dinner. Our server was very attentive and polite. She was delightful. We sat inside which was probably wise due to impending rain. I enjoyed the sirloin and while my steak was truly amazing the reason I have to give this place four stars is the small side portions and that I... More

Had a enjoyable anniversary meal here. Good service, tasty steaks and very good taffy pudding. Would go back.

Once I discovered this place, I could not stay away. Their appetizers especially were superb. It's located within an old home and has great ambience. We had dinner there many evenings and each night was as memorable as the first.

The restaurant is warm and cozy and quaint. I have had better steaks, though. When asking the waiter what medium would get me, he said it would be all pink. I asked to have medium well - and it came way too well done. The drinks were average, and the service good. I cannot say in any fashion that it... More

To date this was by far the best steak we have ever eaten!!! Great service and complimentary champagne for our anniversary. I have visited here several time and each visit was extraordinary.

Our group of 40 filled the wine room which was once covered up in river silt and was discovered during renovation in the 90s. Staff was very attentive. Food came out fast and delicious. Steaks were cooked to perfection ..."melt in your mouth" tender. The sides are served family style with more than enough for everyone. The appetizers could make... More
