My wife and I had steaks, Filet and NY strip. Both steaks had no flavor, the filet was stringy and not a filet cut. Both steaks were served medium warm...not hot. Priced like prime but not prime steaks.

We went the night before our big bowl game, TCU v. Oregon. Our reservation was for 10, so they put us in the 'basement', which was perfect...we could be loud since there weren't a lot of others around us. The staff was excellent, giving ideas for both food and alcohol. We all tried a different drink, and I loved mine,... More

In December we had the chance to have a table on the terrace. Nice wine menu, good steak with crispy French fries and good dessert.

I've eaten at enough places on the Riverwalk now to be skeptical of almost every place in San Antonio. Nevertheless, this place was just terrible, overpriced, and very disorganized. The menu is very limited and very expensive (pay anywhere from $42 to $64 for a steak, without side dishes). The lobster bisque soup I had tasted like plastic and was... More

Went down for the Alamo Bowl last week and made reservations a few weeks out. No problem with the reservation but, in an age of OpenTable, it's old school and involves a 24 hour exchange of emails. On the day, we arrived promptly for our 6 PM reservation and, due to inclement weather, were seated on "The Porch". Our server... More

We had planned to celebrate our 40th anniversary at the Fig Tree next door. Imagine our disappointment when that restaurant was closed! But Little Rhein Steakhouse saved the evening! The manager immediately entrusted his best server, Jessica, to us. She cared for us to the finest detail. Excellent food, romantic ambience, service extraordinaire. Little Rhein never disappoints!

Business dinner for 12. Quail leg apps were incredible. Jalapeño poppers and crab stuffed avocados also solid. Salads all had dressings that were very unique. Steaks were perfect! But no praline pie. Would have gone five stars if they had the dessert everyone wanted. Excellent service. Highly recommended.

This use to be our favorite place to dine in SA. Not anymore. The beer list is just average, with not much for craft beer drinkers. Everything is ala carte. The rib eye steaks are $52 each. For that kind of money I would expect my steak to be melt in your mouth tender. This was not the case, it... More
