Nice people but the product wasn't up to standards in my opinion. I purchased three items and thought that perhaps at least one of them would bring a smile to my face. The peanut butter cookie was very dry and did not taste fresh. It probably was made that day but honestly whomever makes them needs to perhaps look at... More

They are very good marketers at BDB. There are samples of most of the baked goods sliced on the butcher block top at the counter. Plus a big brick of butter to put on the various sliced breads available. The toll this time: one loaf of old fashioned white bread, two cinnamon rolls without raisins, on oatmeal chocolate chip cookie... More

Nestled in the southern edge Alamo Heights, this bakery will capture your heart and foodie soul forever. The free samples alone of their various unique and staple breads, muffins, and cookies when you walk into the door will intoxicate your senses. All of their items are made with natural local ingredients (including the sweeteners), and it shows in the final... More

I have never been to this bakery, but I have been lucky enough to eat muffins from here many times. They are always delicious. Definitely worth trying out.

We love to stop by here when we travel to San Antonio. The selection of bread and other baked goods is varied and always fresh. We bought a loaf of raisin muesli bread as well as a loaf of olive bread. Of course cookies come home with us and a treat or two for the breakfast next day. The young... More

Everything here is yummy, but the cookies are amazing. Since my BW went on a gluten free program, I've been feeling deprived.

Pleasant little bakery with a variety of fresh baked breads. The muffins are delicious and the coffee is hot and delicious. Not always seating available, but great parking across the street.

This is one of those semi-hidden San Antonio things that you need to discover if you are in town for any reason. This is by far, bar none, the finest bakery in San Antonio. I'm not sure how long they have been cranking out San Antonio's finest baked goods but it's like a perfect harmony. When you enter you can... More
