Had a very enjoyable dinner at Lemongrass with my wife. The restaurant was recommended by a friend. The food was very tasty, and traditional. We started with Tom Yum soup in a hot pot, along with pork Larb. Both were excellent, especially the Larb. It...was really good. We followed that with two entrees. I had the green curry, and my wife had the drunken noodles. The server was careful to manage the spice level to our liking and it was just right. The chicken in our dishes was sliced very thinly and was extremely good. Both dishes were great. The service was good, our waiter was a bit overloaded but did a great job. This will be our go to Thai restaurant here in San Antonio. Looking forward to our next visit already. Lunch looks like a great option as well.More

This family runs the friendliest and best Thai restaurant I have ever visited. My family and friends eat lunch and dinner here. We like very many of the lunch specials and house specialties. They are all uniquely flavored. My favorite is their Chicken Green Curry...with brown rice. Truly the best curry dish I have eaten in over 12 Thai restaurants in San Antonio, Dallas, California, Washington, Vancouver plus two different Thai restaurants with Micheline Stars in Las Vegas & New York City. The atmosphere is pretty and clean with very pleasant, helpful & efficient service. Bring your wine or beer.More

Walked in and had no problem getting a seat on a Saturday night. My sister in law loves their hot and sour soup so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the eggroll appetizer. They were brought out freshly cooked and were very...good. I also ordered a cup of wonton soup. While it was tasty, it appeared very oily thus making it a little unappetizing. I also wanted to try something different. I asked about the Mee Krob. The waiter said it was good and not a very large appetizer so I went with that. He brought out a large plate of vermicelli noodles with just a little bit of chicken and two shrimp. I ate out what chicken I could find plus the two shrimp. Was not what I expected. The wait staff was pleasant but when regulars came in, they tended to neglect other guests. All in all, I found it an average eating experience and don't plan to come back to this restaurant.More

I always crave any kind of Asian duck soup and did my research on recommendations for the best in any town I visit. Theirs looked good so hopes were high. You get a big bowl with choice of rice or egg noodle, I opted for...the rice which unfortunately was a solid mass covering the bottom of the bowl. The broth was savory but as a “4” heat level was still incredibly spicy which is perfect, but tonight I didn’t want the heat. The duck itself was a leg portion that had been quickly deep fried then sliced for the soup, it again was just OK. Also had a big bowl of edamame, this is a very shareable portion and ordered the fried calamari app that was very disappointing...it was small slices of squid body(not rings) that was in a very heavy batter similar to a fish & chips texture...all greasy batter and a tiny bite of squid. Big menu, popular with locals, would give be another shot but next time order more standard dishes.More

Excellent service. Great Thai food. Loved the Pad Woon Sen! The red curry my spouse ordered was also tasty.

OK, three puzzling things: I was given a knife (never in 30+ years eating a Thai have I seen a knife), I asked for "Thai hot" and subsequently had to pick "10", and I asked for basmati rice and had to clarify as "white" rice....Now, that said, the Fresh Rolls were very good. Peanut sauce was one of the best I've eaten. Ordered Green Curry with tofu at the top of the spice scale, and it was delicious. Hot, yes, but exquisitely flavorful. The tofu was generous, the eggplant perfectly cooked. If I had to search for any flaw, I personally prefer more basil. I will be back again this week to try the coconut milk-less Wild Curry (a house special). Great service rounded out a spot-on meal 👍More

You must try Lemongrass for good Thai foods..I am from Thailand and have tried many in San Antonio and this is the first restaurant that actually did not smothered their foods in sugar.I know it's to please the American palates. and that is why I...go to Lemongrass now.....This place is family owned and believe me when you go there you will love the food and they make you feel welcome. I cannot tell you how truly impressed I was and still am to this day. I know everyone has different taste and I am very particular with oriental foods, especially Thai food. Give it a try you will love it too.More

The food was good. I had curry and my husband had a Thai ginger dish. I got level 6 for spice and it was fine, I could have gone to 7 easily. My husband got level 7 and could have gone spicier. So if you...like spicy, go for level 7 or above. Good service, clean restaurant. Wine and beer, no liquor.More

Excellent curries and great drunken noodles. Hot and and sour soup and roast Duck were both best Ive ever had; very fresh not as thick or greasy as most places. Lunch specials even on weekend very affordable.

The curry, dumplings, soup and pad thai were all fabulous. I did not ask my friend about her wine, but who really cares? The point is to get great Thai flavor and hopefully satisfying service. They delivered on all counts. One extra bonus: not noisy.

Never a bad meal at Lemongrass. One of the best hot and sour soups in San Antonio. I don't know if it's a menu staple now, but I know they have of several days of the week. If you go for lunch the lunch menu...includes whatever the soup of the day is. Both the red curry and Panang curry are solid. I love how they use fresh vegetables in their curry and don't overcook them. Last time we were they we started with the spring rolls. They are so crispy and delicious.More
