About an average restaurant, but convenient to those shopping at the Rim. The waitstaff was courteous and helpful, but the "Fish and Chips" as well as the "Ex-Pat Breakfast" was about normal.

I love the fish and chips at the Lion and the Rose. Light crispy batter on cod and English style chips (fries). Best place for fish and chips in San Antonio in my opinion. Sticky Toffee Pudding is a delicious dessert. Eat there fairly often...More

Stopped on my way through town. Bartender was preoccupied with staff at end of bar and ignored guests. Used cold water blaster to chill beer glass, but left water in bottom so beer was watery. Food was decent but portions were small for price. Asked...More
