We were here for dinner in the early evening. I ordered a Reuben Sandwich. The meal came out on a very blasé plate, just plain, no pickle wedge, no toothpick, nothing! It barely had enough corn beef on it to separate two pieces of Rye bread, not even marbled Rye! I ordered a side salad, and it was so small... More

My family and I love German food so we decided to try Quarry Hofbrau at the Rim. The service is good and the food is ok but not authentic German. We ordered the Yeager Schnitzel which in Germany is usually made of Veal or Pork and it is slow cooked until tender falling apart. The Schnitzel served here is Weiner... More

The wait for the 1 waitor to serve us was very long. We had over 25 guest for a birthday party and they only hired 1 person to bring drinks, food, appetizers and so on. It was a very slow service. Our food was not up to par as well. The pecan chicken did not taste like pecan chicken, because... More

Miss Susan and I celebrated Independence Day at the Hofbrau at the Rim. Our dining room was spacious and not crowded, with lots of dead animals on the walls, and a large fireplace (not burning, of course) on one side of the room. Our waiter - Santino - was new but quite efficient and friendly. Our meals were an appetizer... More

I love champagne, so I always opt for a dosarita with champs.... My hubby loves the orangesicle... These drinks are very filling, tho. We always sit at the bar and just have appetizers with our drinks. Queso, nachos, it's all good. But we come for the Rita's!!! :)

Went here with a friend. Wasn't sure what to expect. I've seen it referred to as Texas German food. I don't think so. But the staff was friendly and the food was pretty good. And a big menu so lots of choices. I'd probably go again but it would either be spontaneous or if I was meeting a bunch of... More

While there are only a few German dishes on the menu it is delicious. Most of the cuisine is Texas Hill Country. Portions are large and prices are reasonable. The staff is very friendly and efficient.

Passing through town for a weekend in the Hill Country, I met my nephew, his wife and their 1 yr old daughter here for lunch. The food was incredible...potato pancakes with chipolte applesauce for starters; my nephew had a shrimp po'boy that was terrific (the 'bun' was the real deal), my 'niece' had the chicken ceasar salad (had to ask... Food was great. I had the schnitzel with the demi glaze my wife had the Pecan Crusted Chicken. Both excellent with fresh vegetable (probably frozen but good none the less). Although they boast a large beer selection, they seem to be behind the times with the offerings. One IPA? No stouts other than Guinness. If it's good food your seeking... More
