I'll have to agree with many other reviews in that the food here is bland, very bland. Orange dishes don't taste orange. Sweet and sour dishes don't taste sweet and sour. Hot and spicy isn't hot or spicy. Fried rice is disgusting. Never seen anything...like it. If all you care about is quantity of food for less money, eat here. For me, I'll drive 10 minutes and go to Panda Express. I'll spend 2 dollars more, get the same volume of food, and it tastes ten times better.More
I ordered a fish plate and fries. The dinner is described as having two pieces of fish, but it actually was one, with the second camouflaged beneath the first to appear as if there were two. I noticed this, returned the food, and request it...made fresh. They basically retried the existing food and added another half of fish. I requested my money back. I will never order here again.More
Needed to feed 12 people to go, the service was very good, I ordered the top three menu items, can't remember what they were, but my customers loved it! The egg rolls were nice and crispy. The place is in "The Hood" don't let that...stop you! The owner seems like he wants to be the best! So go there!More
We were looking for a restaraunt close to the river walk but the one we chose was no longer there. So we googled chinese restaraunts close by and up came Wen Wah with 4.6 stars. I put the address in our gps and off we...went. When we arrived; the restaraunt was in a "how do you say" lower rent district. But I was hungry and we were there. I had my wife; my son a soldier from Ft Sam Houston and two of his battle buddies were on their way in a cab. We ordered the following 5 dishes and all were excellent. General tsao's chicken; triple delight, almond chicken; sweet & sour chicken and lemon chicken. The plates were brimming with food and all were served with an eggroll or crab rangoon along with saffron jasmine rice. I read one review that stated :ghetto place, getto food. Sorry dude this is some of the best asian food I've ever had. All dishes were cooked to order when ordered and all food was fresh and amazing.More
If you want to eat Chinese Food that will stay with you days after eating, then Wen Wah is your place. We ordered Kung Pao and Sweet & Sour Chicken. The food is ready quickly and is very inexpensive. Although there is a seating area,...I wouldn't do it. This place is definitely carry-out only. It has a drive thru option as well. If your constitution is better than ours, then maybe you will do fine.More
Bars on the windows and a neighborhood past its prime would probably cause most unfamiliar diners to drive right on by. The food was delicious and the service was super fast. The Hot and Sour Soup was one of the best I've ever had. Three...of us dined and all three enjoyed their meals. The Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef and Shrimp and Broccoli were all very good. We were in town for the Stock Show and Rodeo. The location is convenient to the AT&T Center. I would definately come back again. The prices were extremely affordable. The Mongolian Beef on the lunch menu was $4.59 and included fried rice and an egg roll.More
