About
Guillermo's Restaurant is an eclectic restaurant located in the business district of San Antonio near the Museum Reach River walk area. We serve lunch and dinner. Counter service is from 11 am until 2 pm M-F and waiter service from 2 pm until closing. Wait service on the weekends. Guillermo's morphs into a relaxed casual five star service restaurant at 5 pm. We serve primarily Italian fare but do offer selected items that would be classified as non - Italian. All of our food attempts to culturally connect to San Antonio. Our environment goal is to be calm and relaxed however our patio is intentionally designed to be more lively with with television and for sporting events and often softer live

We just enjoyed a wonderful meal on the patio. I highly recommend the house salad which was loaded with ingredients that I normally would not associate with spinach but the combination worked. Our Stromboli was hot through and through -yum! The servers were prompt, courteous...and smiled every time they came to our table. The manager came by to make sure everything was good . We look forward to our next visit .More

The restaurant has comfortable outdoor dining with nioce sunsets. The italian themed restaurant has excellent thin crust pizzas and classic pasta dishes. The salads are great. They have a nice selection of craft beers. The wine selection is limited but good. I tried the creamy...homemade tomato soup today...delicious. The prices are reasonable. The service is always good. We love our server, Diana, who has been there for years. She is the best.More

I ate here today with my wife. After a hot walk away from the touristy River Walk, this place appeared like a heavenly gift from nowhere. What a treat. Service brill and food amazing....Italian with a Mexican twist. Seafood pasta was incredible with the mildy...hot house sauce. Try it out. Top score!More

Everything was excellent! We had the meatball sandwich (fresh foccacia was the bread) and the Spinach and mushroom lasagna, which came with foccacia garlic bread, yummy! The entrees were delicious and on-temp. Each came with your choice of side salad. We chose the House salad,...which was very savory. Good service, well-mixed drinks. The desserts looked huge and yummy but we did not have room. Highly recommended!More

Great food and a good selection of beers on tap. The beers come in a variety of sizes starting at 16oz- I had a 24 oz IPA. The food was good with a good variety of options. The service is order at the hatch and...they then bring your food. The staff were friendly and efficient I would definitely go back.More

We just happened to find this place when we were sightseeing in San Antonio. We went for lunch, which is walk up and order at lunch time. I ordered tomato basil soup and a lunch pasta with salad. This was way to much for one...person, the portion sizes are huge. The soap came with some cheese bread. This was THE BEST tomatoe soup I have ever had. It was creamy with chucks of tomatoes, onions and alittle spinach. It was delicious. We went the next day and had it again. This was the best food we had on the whole 4 day trip. The house salad was fresh and tasty as wellMore

My brother had been here several times and recommended it. Restaurant is in an old house. It’s a small family owned restaurant with some unique items like “Tuna de Gallo”. My small house salad was unique and good. My four seasons pizza was four styles...on one pizza, I’ve never seen this. Pizza crust was homemade and very good. The tiramisu cake was Americanized but a very good homemade cake. They have a good list of local beers. Can’t wait to try again to sit in the patio when it’s warmer. If you like unique, small tasty family owned restaurants you will love this Italian American themed restaurant with a Mexican twist.More

Looks like a dive. Food was excellent. We had pizza & Stromboli. Service was very good, but we were also there at a non-busy time.

This is a great place for a date. Excellent custom service. Even the manager walked around checking on everyone. We ordered the wings for an appetizer. They were perfect. Well seasoned. One of my favorites here is the pepperoni lasagna, but today I tried something...new. Today’s entrees: shrimp lasagna and spicy sausage pasta. Both are worth trying. I’m happy to report that the spicy sausage pasta is not too spicy to handle, just a little kick, so you can still enjoy the flavors of the dish.More

We stopped by here for dinner and were not disappointed. They had several craft beers on tap and seating outside. Although the service wasn't quick, we suspect it was due to minimal staffing due to the current pandemic. The salads we had were fantastic, food...was quite flavorful and service was responsive enough. The seating outside was socially distanced. I wish Trip Advisor would add a category and search function for identifying what restaurants currently have outside seating. Until things settle down, I and a number of my friends are more comfortable with the outside dining versus indoor seating.More

After careful consideration I decided to celebrate my birthday here. The many great reviews and four and a half star ratings gave me high hopes and expectations. Unfortunately, I was thoroughly disappointed. From the beginning, five out of the six people I was dining with...had small bugs and/or dirt at the bottom of our cups. We had them replaced and waited patiently for our meals. After an excruciating amount of time, we noticed people who had arrived after us get their food before we even got our appetizers. We eventually did get our meals except for my father, who waited until we were about 3/4 done with ours before they served him. My friend’s noodles were undercooked, they gave us the wrong order of wings, and they forgot my side. It was very much of a let down for a birthday dinner. There were also lots of bugs flying around making us constantly wave them off. In retrospect, the food was not worth the wait or the price. I would have much rather gone to Olive Garden. If you are looking for quality Italian food and service I highly recommend you go somewhere else.More
