I started with the ginger beef and sweet potatoes and edamame. Both cooked perfectly and our table them. We also had a plate of tuna sashimi which was extremely fresh and plated well. I personally had the Latino roll which was excellent and I tasted...the chicken ramen bowl from a friend and it had just the perfect amount of spicy. Like the porridge in the nursery books, "it was just right." Lastly, the tempura ice cream, oh my.... the plate and the raspberry and chocolate drizzle..... Needless to say.... delicious. Service was spectacular as well.More

Our first visit to this sushi place. We ordered the crudo cold plate which included three types of tuna with a cilantro puree. We ordered the sauce on the side as I prefer to adjust how much sauce to add. The fish was fresh and...delicious as well as the puree. We ordered a ‘rainbow roll’ which again was very good. We almost always end up deconstructing the roll as we prefer the fish without rice. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with added bok choy. The first bowl I received was not very hot so I asked to have it warmed. They fixed me a new one and made sure it was hot. My husband ate the first bowl as he prefers food to be lukewarm rather than hot. We were not charged for the first bowl which I think was a nice gesture on the restaurant’s part. We also liked their spicy mayo. They made sure to tell us about their happy hour specials for a future visit. We will return and take friends.More

Let me start by saying Piranha Izakaya had some big shoes to fill in our book and they met the challenge. Izakaya was updated from Piranha Killer Sushi a favorite restaurant of ours. Izakaya kept a few things from their former menu but added some...new tasty dishes and the remodeling is just fun! We started with the pork dumplings. These were as delicious as always. We miss the orange marmalade sauce but we’re not disappointed at all. We also ordered the Marry Me Roll. One of the best sushi rolls we’ve ever had and we’re so glad it was still on the menu. New for us were the short rib appetizers and the Japanese Chicken. Both dishes were delicious. Izakaya also serves Ramen which looked delicious but we were too full to order on this trip. Be sure to stop here near Happy Hour (Asian Pear/Jalapeño Martini is refreshing and yummy). They have great happy hour prices on food and drinks. Can’t wait to go back!More

My friend and I wanted a light lunch and she lives close to Piranha so we decided to try the sushi...friendly wait staff and he was able to help us decide on what to try. The salmon tartar is a creation...beautifully constructed and soooo delicious!...We were amazed...the calamari were lightly breaded, delicious, not greasy and the accompanying sauce very spicy...to top it off, we had unfiltered cold sake and I would go back and have the same lunch again. The restaurant has a cool modern vibe and it makes you want to take your time. Truly enjoyed the experience.More

The location and service is fine, the sushi is just not very high quality. The rolls consist of mostly rice held decorated with small pieces of mid-grade seafood soaked in sauce. The stuffed jalapeños appetizer tasted like cardboard. Would be 2 stars but for friendly...service and decent ambience.More

Due to a horrible experience at Sushi Zushi Lincoln Heights, San Antonio, Texas....we decided to give this sushi restaurant a shot. We were not disappointed. We were waited on in a timely manner. We had a couple of appetizers and two entrees. The food was...tasty and the atmosphere was hip. The beer/drink menu was very nice as well...good value on the Happy Hour Menu....glad that we tried this place!!More

We ate the Latino roll and the Marry me Roll. Both were delicious! The Latino roll is spicy so watch out while the marry me roll is sweet. We also had the fried dumpling which were also great. The best was the chicken fried rice!...Our waitress as awesome, she got our food out fast for us because we had a 710 movie to catch. Thank you!More

Pretty place and a very expensive menu, you will come in expecting a high end and tip of the line service judging by the ambiance that is very airy and fun, judging by the prices that are super expensive, even the specials are expensive for...what you get. We sat in and started ordering our appetizers and meal to our waitress, who was super nice and very friendly. At least the staff here is very nice. Here is what I managed to get to eat. Pork and vegetable fried dumpling, pretty presentation and very delicious sauces. It was on special for 5 dollars for the lunch special menu comes in a portion of 6 dumplings. It was just like any other dumpling the sauce was the only thing that set the dumpling apart from a home made one. 2 pieces of salmon sashimi. Pretty much sashimi, if u like it u k ow it, the good thing though is that the sashimi was pretty fresh. I also ordered a blue crab fried rice and the was to be the one of the most expensive items on the menu, guess what... I never got it.... I was so excited about the meal and now I didn't get the chance to have it because according to the staff they were short staffed today.... The cooked food took all sorts of forever to arrive, I felt bad for my friend who orders a fried rice for appetizer and ended up getting it after the meal already arrived and she was almost done.... Oh and forget aboit it if you need a fork lol ask for a fork and starve. Cause they will take a long time to give you that fork. Overall my impression was very poor, the place have all bells and whistles of a great time and ended up worse than a hole on the wall Chinese restaurant. Avoid this place u will overpay for for literally the image of the place cause in the end the service was pm, the food not impressive and the kitchen inefficient. #regretMore

Went out with a group of six people (three couples). The food was amazing. This place has a nice atmosphere. They play a good mix of music. The only downside is the service was a little slow. Maybe because there were so many people, but...we should have seen our waiter a lot more.More

Our sushi rolls were very good, but the atmosphere needs improvement. Great wait staff!! Bar is loud, not clean mostly and uncomfortable. Their Vietnamese Summer Roll is sooo good. As was the Piranha Roll.
